Money, profile and fame weren’t behind Britney Spears recording a single for the upcoming animated Smurfs movie; she did it all for her kids who, according to the 31-year-old singer, are mad about the little blue characters.

“The main reason why I did it was because my boys [Sean Preston and Jayden]. They're obsessed with the Smurfs. We've seen The Smurfs movie a million trillion times, and they were told they could be in the video and all this cool stuff, so that's the reason why I did it,” she explained, before opening up on the song’s title.

“I think it doesn't really certainly mean a certain phrase or anything, but it's about feeling good,” she said. “Like you make me feel like 'ooh la la,' like when a guy makes you giddy…it's more of a feeling.” We’re sure her two sons will understand.

Britney, who has made do with some judging roles on various talent shows, has an eighth studio album on her mind currently, and is still believed to be in talks with a Las Vegas hotel for a residency. “It's definitely in the beginning stages right now. I want to take this album and have a new approach with it, make it different from anything I've ever done,” said Spears, who is working with William Orbit on the new record.

“Will has some really interesting tracks. There's a lot of guitar. I think people will be surprised,” she added. “I think William Orbit is coming into town for me to work with next week. I've never worked with him before so I'm so excited."
