Britney Spears was celebrating big for the Christmas holidays as she kicked-off her two year residency in Las Vegas.

The 32 year-old performed to a full house which included several fellow showbiz heavyweights from singers to actors.

But who does the 'Toxic' singer look at with admiration and for inspiration?

Spears recently opened up to USA Today and revealed which music stars influence her.

It is no surprise that Britney told the newspaper one person she admires greatly is pop megastar Beyoncé, she praised the 'Halo' singer for "for what she did with her (surprise release) album", describing it as "genius" and "really brilliant."

The mother of two also spoke highly of New Zealand teen sensation Lorde, "who is really different and cool . This generation is hungry for new sounds."

Spears is also a fan of Bruno Mars because he is "so different and fresh."

Surprisingly the 'Womaniser' singer referred to her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake as well, no doubt the 'Cry Me A River' singer has had a phenomenal year with the release of '20/20 Experience' back in May, but it is rare for Spears to speak of him.

"Justin Timberlake is, too," speaking of her inspirations. JT's music is "inspiring for me, and it makes people eager to listen to music, which helps everyone," she continued to gush.

Britney and Justin had a well-published relationship from 1999 to 2002.

The only thing that does bother her is the fall of the CD.

"We're too smart for our own good," she said. "We're at the point where the simplicity of buying a CD and the specialness has gone. I think it's a shame. The whole process of buying a record was so special."
