The late actress's last film 'Something Wicked' will make its world premiere at Regal Cinemas in Eugene on April 4th.
The upcoming film is set to make its world premiere next month, debuting April 4th at the Regal Theater in Eugene, Oregon, which is where filming took place.
Not long after this date, Merchant Films will self-distribute 'Something Wicked' to theatres nationwide, The Hollywood Reporter notes.
The studio describes the film as a "current day action thriller set in a mid-size American community."
"Christine and her boyfriend James have just graduated from Highland High School and are looking forward to enjoying their future together," the synopsis continues.
"Everything appears to be going well until Christine and James realize that she is being stalked by a psychologically tormented and obsessed young man, who in the end, will stop at nothing to be with her," it concludes.
Shantel VanSanten, John Robinson, Julian Morris and James Patrick Stuart star in the dark thriller, alongside the late actress.
Murphy, who features in 8 Mile, Sin City, Just Married and Girl, Interrupted, suddenly died in 2009, aged 32.
The actress's death, which was originally thought to have been caused by multiple drug intoxication, pneumonia and anemia, surfaced last December (2013) after a lab report showed indications that she may have been poisoned.
A new toxicology report was carried out by Carlson Company in Colorado and they found the presence of heavy metals, something the LA office didn't look for in 2009.
Heavy metals are commonly found in rat poisons and at the time of her death Murphy experienced symptoms of someone who has been poisoned with heavy metal, including: headache, dizziness, abdominal cramps, tremors, sweating, disorientation, coughing, wheezing, congestion, and pneumonia.
