Bruno Mars has announced he will release his new song '24k Magic' this week.

The 30-year-old singer songwriter has publicly revealed to his 7.1 million followers he will unveil his first track from his upcoming third studio album, which will be his first release in four years, on Friday (07.10.16).

And the Hawaii-born star has teased the forthcoming LP will be the new ''party'' anthem.

The 'Uptown Funk' hitmaker broadcast the news on social media, which saw him post the single's artwork on his personal Instagram account, alongside the caption: ''Excited to announce 24k Magic', out this Friday!! You can call it my first single, but I call it the invitation to the party. #24KMagic (sic)''

And onceMars has launched the album he will embark on a tour later this year.

Speaking previously about Mars' new music and upcoming performances , his longterm bassist, Jamareo Artis, said : ''We've been working on it for about a year, trying different ideas and experimenting. I don't know what's going to be included in the final version, but it's going to have a new sound, and so far the material is very groove-oriented.

''It'll be out sometime this year, and then we'll hit the road again.''
