Bruno Mars would ''trade'' music to resurrect his late mother.

The 31-year-old singer - who last his parent Bernadette Dan Pedro Bayot in 2013 aged 55 - has admitted his mum is ''more than'' his music and he would gladly trade his music, and all of his hits just to be back by his side.

Speaking to Latina.com, the dark-haired hunk said: ''My life has changed. She's more than my music. If I could trade music to have her back, I would.''

And the '24K Magic' hitmaker has admitted Bernadette has the greatest influence on his songs, as he regularly hears her voice and words of wisdom advising him to continue with his successful career.

He continued: ''I always hear her say, 'Keep going and keep doing it.''

And Bruno only hopes his creative tracks and singles speak volumes and prove his love for his job, as he doesn't want to be known for ''scandals or controversy''.

He said: ''I hope that my music does the talking. I just wanna do music.

''It could be boring for people this day and age, but I don't wanna be known for no scandals or controversy. I want to be the guy that brings joy to your life through his music. That's it.''
