Breaking Bad fans are preparing for a final goodbye to Bryan Cranston's character Walter White by holding a funeral and reception in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The popular drug drama came to a close last month (29Sep13), with the chemistry teacher-turned drug lord succumbing to death from a gunshot wound in the final minutes of the show.

And fans in Albuquerque, which is where the series was not only set but filmed as well, are planning to pay their final respects to the fictional character next Saturday (19Oct13).

A memorial will be set up at the location where White died on the show and the funeral will include a eulogy from Breaking Bad set decorator Michael Flowers. there will even be a headstone erected to note the fictional drug kingpin's passing. Following the service, fans will be able to reminisce about the character at a reception in a local restaurant.

Breaking Bad fan Jackamoe Buzzell, who has masterminded the event, tells The Hollywood Reporter he came up with the idea after spotting White's fictional obituary in the The Albuquerque Journal newspaper last Friday (04Oct13).

He then offered to make the event a fundraiser for charity, with all proceeds going to an endowment fund for the Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless, which especially assists meth addicts, like the one's Cranston's character serviced.
