Michael F. Egan holds a press conference to detail his accusations against director Bryan Singer.
The man accusing director Bryan Singer of sexually abusing him in 1999 has held a press conference alongside his lawyer, Jeff Herman, to detail and publicise his abuse. Michael F. Egan III is suing the X-Men filmmaker for numerous incidents of molestation which he claims took place over two years around the time he was 17 years old.
Bryan Singer Is Accused Of Raping A 17 Year-Old Boy Back In 1999.
The suit, which has been filed in Hawaii, alleges that Singer and others abused Egan during "sordid parties" after he arrived in LA from the Midwest as a young wannabe actor. Egan claims that Singer and others threatened to make or break his career depending on his willingness to keep them happy, which resulted in the director one time forcibly sodomising him as retaliation for refusing to perform oral sex.

Official court documents detail Egan's claims but the plaintiff himself waived the right to anonymity in order to hold a press conference. "I was raped numerous times in that house, by numerous individuals," he said, adding "You were like a piece of meat to these people," via THR.
Singer Has Fiercely Denied Egan's Allegations Of Sexual Abuse.
Singer, via his lawyer Marty Singer, has vehemently denied the allegations against him. "The claims made against Bryan Singer are completely without merit," he said. "We are very confident that Bryan will be vindicated in this absurd and defamatory lawsuit." He added: "It is obvious that this case was filed in an attempt to get publicity at the time when Bryan's new movie ('X-Men: Days of Future Past') is about to open in a few weeks."
