X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer faces fresh allegations of sexual assault. The latest accusations follow a federal lawsuit filed by former child model Michael Egan in April. Now a second man, an anonymous Brit, has come forward, filing a claim in California accusing Singer and theatre producer Gary Goddard of sexually assaulting him when he was a child.

The claim has been filed by the same lawyer working with Egan, whose lawsuit is against both Singer and Goddard, as well as two others. The latest lawsuit alleges that Goddard actively contacted the plaintiff on a social media website when he was just 14, later contact escalating to nude webcam conversations when the boy was 15. The man also claims that when he was 16 he began a sexual relationship with Singer.

The claim continues, the man alleging he had sex with Singer at an after-party for Superman, further accusing Singer of attempted rape on another occasion. While the age of consent in the United Kingdom is 16, the claim argues that the age of consent in the state of California, which is 18, should be applied as Singer and Goddard planned to abuse the boy while based in the States.

Singer’s lawyer has dismissed the claims as “totally untrue,” while Goddard’s lawyer released a statement saying, “It is a shame that the specious claim made by Herman (the plaintiff’s lawyer) is in the Egan case has resulted in this new claim that we note is over 10 years old. For now we will say that the claims are denied and Gary will vigorously defend.”
