The former Neighbours star, who earlier this year (15) posted a topless photograph of herself on her newly-launched female-empowerment website, was lined up for an interview and profile feature in popular publication Good Weekend.

However, she claims the piece was cancelled when she turned down a request to be pictured in her underwear, and her furious reaction to the snub has sparked a storm on Twitter.com.

In a series of irate messages on the social networking website, Stasey writes, "Good Weekend magazine suddenly doesn't have the space to run a piece on me because I wouldn't do a shoot in my underwear. They wanted to team an interview about my upset over the constant objectification of women with a sexualised photo shoot. I declined... U (you) do understand the difference between a woman appearing naked on her own terms & one being coaxed to in order to sell your product?"

However, Good Weekend editor Ben Naparstek has blamed "miscommunication" for the row, telling Junkee.com, "I totally understood and respected Caitlin's decision not to pursue our shoot, which would have been a classy shoot with a leading American fashion photographer in line with the beautiful artistic imagery she'd published of herself on Herself.com, which she'd just launched.

"We decided not to pursue the shoot when her agent offered us access to existing portraits instead. But with the Herself.com peg no longer as strong, we decided to delay the profile until later in the year... Apologies to Caitlin for any miscommunication."
