The Wrap had cited author Ian Halperin when he claimed inside sources had told him that Caitlyn was considering 'de-transitioning'.
Caitlyn Jenner’s representative has shot down a sensational report that claimed that the reality TV star is regretting having transitioned to become a woman last year, and was considering the possibility of reversing the procedure.
“Not worth commenting on such an idiotic report,” Jenner’s rep told New York Daily News on Thursday morning (May 12th). “Of course it's not true.”
Caitlyn Jenner's rep slammed a report that she's regretting having gender re-assignment surgery
The firm denial came just a few hours after The Wrap published a story in which author Ian Halperin, who recently wrote a book about the Kardashian family and their rise to fame, cited a number of sources close to Jenner claiming that she was considering becoming a man again, having been miserable.
“One source confirmed to me Caitlyn has made whispers of 'sex change regret,' hinting she might go back to being Bruce Jenner,” Halperin said in the report. Jenner was pleased that she had highlighted transgender issues in the mainstream media but had found the adjustment to spotlight personally difficult, “much harder than she anticipated,” according to another source.
“She’s thrilled she has raised awareness about how transgender people have long been discriminated against but I think there’s a chance she’ll de-transition in the next couple years,” the friend is reported to have told Halperin. “I don’t think it would surprise anybody in her inner circle.”
In last year’s famous issue of Vanity Fair, on the front cover of which Jenner revealed her new identity as Caitlyn, she admitted that she had a fleeting panic attack the first day in recuperation from her assignment surgery – something that commonly happens to transgender people after such surgery.
However, no such feelings have re-surfaced in any of the 66 year old’s subsequent public appearances, as she revealed on her new reality TV series ‘I Am Cait’ that she was interested in dating a man.
