Commenting on the news, Harris said "The rise of dance music has been astronomical in the last three years. I happened to be in the right place at the right time." He’s got that right.

The hefty increase in his already huge earnings are symptomatic of the enormous public appetite for dance music since the turn of the decade, and there’s no sign of that demand being sated any time soon. The list takes into account earnings from live shows, tour merchandise, record sales, commercial endorsements and ‘external business ventures’.
