Calvin Harris wants Victoria Beckham to record a ''huge dance anthem''.

The superstar DJ is said to be keen to convince the former Posh Spice to return to pop in an attempt to relaunch her dance music career following her hit 'Out of Your Mind' in 2000.

A source told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: ''Calvin's deadly serious about working with Victoria.

''He was a closet Spice Girls fan and was a huge fan of 'Out of Your Mind'. Calvin met Gordon Ramsay recently and revealed his plans to write her a huge dance anthem.''

Through their mutual friend, the 'I Will Never Let You Down' hitmaker is looking to get in touch with the fashion designer and while he knows it will be difficult to convince her, he thinks he's the one who can do it.

The insider added: ''He asked for Victoria's details and is planning to contact her about getting back into the studio.

''He know it's a long shot but believes that if anyone can it's him.''

There is still speculation the remaining Spice Girls - Mel C, Mel B, Emma Bunton and Gerri Halliwell - will head to Las Vegas for a new residency without Victoria, who has previously stressed she no longer wants to perform.
