Of all Cara’s currently in the works projects, the most anticipated is perhaps Michael Winterbottom’s The Face of An Angel, based on the Amanda Knox trial. Winterbottom has confined Cara will play a 21 year old English girl who strikes up a relationship with a journalist trying to make a film about the Knox trial. Kate Beckinsale is also starring in the drama which is yet to get a release date.
Cara is also starring in the Face of an AngeL
With three movies already in the bag for 2013 Cara’s acting career could just be gaining momentum. Now Deadline is reporting Cara has not one but two big roles on the horizon. The first is in period drama Tulip Fever which will star Dane DeHaan and is being produced by Harvey Weinstein. The second is in Pan, where Cara is said to be playing a mermaid. With Hugh Jackman signed on as Blackbeard and Amanda Seyfried just added to the cast, if Cara has bagged a Pan role she’ll certainly be joining an all star line up.
So can the catwalk expect to be waving goodbye to Ms Delevingne anytime soon? Probably not, the fashion world has been very good to Cara and she unlikely to turn her back on them just yet. Still if the roles continue to come her way, we might bank on Cara one day being referred to as an ex-model. But for now she’s probably still happy being the queen of the catwalk.
