Though it was modelling that first made her one of the world’s most recognisable faces, Cara Delevingne seems to have been dissatisfied with the scene with quite some time, fuelling rumours that she was ready to quit the catwalk.

It would seem that those rumours now have some truth behind them, with the Huffington Post reporting on Saturday (July 4th) that the 22 year old’s profile has been removed from the website of her agency Storm Models, who have represented her since the age of 15.

Delevingne has recently been swapping modelling for movies, and has been working on her first major movie parts in the upcoming 2016 flick Suicide Squad and this summer’s imminent Paper Towns. As an actress, she is represented by L.A. agent William Morris, who also reps for big stars like Charlize Theron and Emma Stone.

She recently gave an interview to Vogue, for whose July edition she is the cover star, talking of her increasingly disillusionment with modelling and her attraction to film. “The thrill of acting is making a character real. Modelling is the opposite of real. It’s being fake in front of the camera. I’m not sure I understand what fashion is anymore,” she revealed.

“I admit I was terrified to leave. I mean, the bubble gives you a kind of dysfunctional family. When you’re in it, you get it. And the second you’re out of it, you’re like, ‘what the hell just happened?’”

Back in May, she also told WSJ magazine that she was angry about the way that a model’s lifestyle was one of being constantly told to lose weight. "It makes me so angry. If you don't want to hire me, don't hire me," she vented. She has also told The Guardian that quitting modelling would be "blissful".
