Cara Delevingne has reportedly split from her girlfriend.

The 'Paper Towns' star and St. Vincent aka Annie Clark are believed to have called it quits on their relationship after eight months together, a source told the New York Post's Page Six column.

The news will come as a shock to most as Cara recently admitted she was ''in love'' with the 'Birth In Reverse' singer.

She said previously: ''I think that being in love with my girlfriend is a big part of why I'm feeling so happy with who I am these days. And for those words to come out of my mouth is actually a miracle.

''It took me a long time to accept the idea, until I first fell in love with a girl at 20 and recognised that I had to accept it. Women are what completely inspire me, and they have also been my downfall.''

The 22-year-old beauty also recently praised her girlfriend, insisting she was a better actress because she was in love.

She added: ''Being in love helps, you know? If you're in love with someone, you can be with them like no one else is in the room. Acting is like that. It's like taking that feeling and turning it on so nothing else matters when you're looking in another actor's face.''
