Caro Emerald's new single, Stuck, will be released on December 5th 2011 through Dramatico / Grandmono Records. Her successful debut album, Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor was re-released as the Platinum Edition in November and included a live concert recorded at Amsterdam's Heineken Music Hall. Caro will be playing a sold out show at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire on December 13th, 2011.
The video for Stuck is done in Caro's trademark vintage style, with the singer coming to life in adverts for car parts and plane travel. She also performs with her eight piece band in a smoky room that's reminiscent of a 40's club.
Born in Amsterdam, Caro rose to prominence in 2009 with her debut single, Back It Up, which quickly became a hit in the Netherlands. Her next four singles - A Night Like This; That Man; Stuck and Riviera Life - have been well received in the UK and Europe.
All five of her singles were added to BBC Radio 2's A-List Playlist upon their respective releases, garnering them heavy rotation on the station. Her debut album, Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor, was also named Album of the Week. Upon its release in the Netherlands, the album became the Longest Running Album in the country, beating Michael Jackson's Thriller by just one week. In total, the album spent 77 weeks in the Dutch Top 10.
