Olly and Caroline were said to have fallen out in the aftermath of being chopped from 'The X Factor'.
Olly and Caroline have been close friends since they both started presenting ‘Xtra Factor’ together in 2011, and their on-screen flirting helped them land the main hosting gig on the ITV show last year when long-time presenter Dermot O’Leary. Many speculated that the pair were secretly in love, such was their on-screen chemistry.

O’Leary is said have been told he could ‘name his price’ to return to the series, with a potential three year deal being looked at.

The presenting duo have left the ITV talent show after just one series.
‘The X Factor’ co-presenters Caroline Flack and Olly Murs have confirmed they’ve left the ITV talent show after days of rumours concerning their future. The duo, who previously presented spin-off series ‘The Xtra Factor’, took the reigns of the main show last year, following the departure of Dermot O’Leary.
Caroline Flack and Olly Murs’ time on ‘The X Factor’ is over.
In a statement to The Sun Murs said: “This was an incredibly hard decision to make and one I didn’t take lightly as I’ve really enjoyed co-hosting ‘The X Factor’. It’s been one big adventure and I loved every minute of it. But my heart belongs to music and I want to concentrate 100 per cent on making my next album and getting back to performing.”

Murs’ co-host Caroline Flack was said to have got the axe from the series last week.
Olly Murs could be the next member of ‘The X-Factor’ team to leave before the new series, as part of a massive shake-up of the ITV talent show. Earlier this week Nick Grimshaw confirmed he would not be returning as a judge after just one series and Murs’ co-host Caroline Flack is also said to be out of a job.
Is Olly Murs also set to leave ‘The X-Factor’?
Speaking to The Mirror, Murs admitted, “I don’t know if me and Caroline will be back.” While no official word has been given on Flack’s status with the show, rumours that the presenter has been fired have been circulating all week.

Simon Cowell has been ringing the changes after 'The X Factor's annus horribilis in 2015, with Louis Tomlinson mooted to be Grimshaw's replacement.
In the wake of the poor ratings it suffered last year, Simon Cowell has made changes to ‘The X Factor’ by axing co-presenter Caroline Flack, soon after Nick Grimshaw confirmed that he had quit the judging panel of his own accord.
According to The Sun, 36 year old Flack is said to have paid the price for the criticism that she and co-host Olly Murs received as they presented the ITV show for the first time last year. The final episode averaged viewing figures of only 5.95 million, amid flagging ratings plaguing the whole series, and it’s not clear that Murs will keep his place either as the pair were frequently criticised for making mistakes.

The former ‘X-Factor’ host thinks the talent show needs a rest and should go back to room auditions.
After suffering from low rating’s last year, most agree that it’s time the ‘X-Factor’ had a bit of a shake-up. But the talent competition’s former host Dermot O’Leary has gone further and said he thinks the best thing Simon Cowell could do is take the show off air for a whole year.
Dermot O’Leary thinks the ‘X-Factor’ could benefit from a year off.
“If I was Simon I’d take [The X Factor] off air for a year,” O’Leary told the Radio Times magazine. “I’d rest it.”
Rita Ora had suggested that only Louisa Johnson and Leona Lewis had made any "impression" on the charts from the 'X Factor' stable.
Though some have speculated that he was severely disheartened by Rita Ora’s apparent ‘snub’ during ‘The X Factor’ final at the weekend, Olly Murs has insisted that he wasn’t annoyed by the judge’s implication that he hadn’t made an “impression” on the charts.
After Louisa Johnson had scooped the grand prize on Sunday night’s live final (December 13th), Ora had proclaimed that only she and 2006 winner Leona Lewis had made any impact on the charts. While the audience applauded the obviously untrue statement (erm, One Direction?), 2009 runner-up Murs was said to have looked upset at the backhanded insult.

Caroline Flack and Olly Murs had been rumoured to be on the way out of 'The X Factor' after only one series, with 'Big Brother's Emma Willis and Rylan Clark floated as replacements.
Reports emerged last Friday (December 11th), first reported by the Daily Star, indicated that Simon Cowell was in the mood to shake up the ITV show ahead of the 2016 edition. Murs, 31, and Flack, 36, have co-presented for just one series, after they replaced long-time host Dermot O’Leary earlier this year.

Caroline and Olly celebrated her Cosmopolitan Awards win with a cute Photobooth reel - the last of which saw them snogging.
Olly Murs and Caroline Flack’s ‘are they / aren’t they’ relationship has been one of the biggest talking points of this year’s ‘x factor’, but now the pair have finally given audiences what they’ve wanted, as they shared a kiss in a photobooth at the Cosmopolitan Awards.
The pair have kept ‘X Factor’ viewers guessing about the true nature of their relationship for the last couple of months, after Olly split with his long-term girlfriend Francesca Thomas at the end of September.
However, the final shot of the photobooth reel as the pair celebrated Caroline’s Ultimate TV Personality win at the awards seemed to indicate that they might be more than just friends, as Caroline posted the photos on her Instagram page on Wednesday night (December 2nd).

Murs faced a wave of backlash on Twitter after he mistakenly told an ‘X-Factor’ contestant she was going home.
Olly Murs has spoken about his recent ‘X-Factor’ gaffe which left the presenter facing the wrath of twitter, with some even calling for him to be fired from the show. Just under two weeks ago, the novice presenter told contestant Monica Michael she had been eliminated before the deadlock vote had been revealed, after getting ‘confused’, about what was happening next.
Olly Murs has spoken out after his live TV ‘X-Factor’ gaffe.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Murs, who is also a singer, pointed out that he's not a trained TV presenter 'with years of experience’ behind him. “I mean, I've made mistakes before. I've fallen over on stage. I've forgotten my lyrics. But this was different. It was a pivotal moment and I just got confused about what was happening next,” Murs said.

Meanwhile, Caroline Flack dismissed rumours that the under-fire presenter was about to be sacked from the ITV singing competition.
Having apologised profusely for his hideous gaffe during last weekend’s episode of ‘The X Factor’, co-presenter Olly Murs has hit back against criticism of him, saying that the blunder has now been “massively blown out of proportion”.
On last Sunday’s episode (November 15th), Murs accidentally announced that contestant Monica Michael was going home before the actual result was announced that evening, leading to a huge backlash of criticism directed at him, with some speculating that he might even get fired, though he tweeted a quick apology for his “massive f*** up” via Twitter the same night.

One Direction played a game of 'Never Have I Ever' on 'The Ellen Show' on Wednesday, with surprising results.
One Direction are at last wrapping up their world tour in promotion of their newly-released album, and stopped off on the ‘The Ellen Show’ to tell Ellen Degeneres some of their secrets in a game of ‘Never Have I Ever’ – and the revelations were surprising!
Band leader Harry Styles made a couple of eyebrow-raising reveals during the short game on the show on Wednesday (November 18th), admitting that he once snogged one of the band’s fans, and also that he has gotten romantically involved with somebody twice his age.
The presenter has come under fire from fans on social media after the live gaffe.
Olly Murs has apologised after telling a ‘X-Factor’ contestant they were eliminated, before the results had been revealed. Murs made the unfortunate gaffe during Sunday night’s live finals, where contestants Monica Michael and Anton Stephans went head to head.
Olly Murs has apologised after his ‘X-Factor’ mistake.
Michael and Stephans had just faced each other in a sing-off, but when judges Simon Cowell, Nick Grimshaw, Rita Ora and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini failed to reach a decision the show went to deadlock, meaning the public vote would decide the contestant's fate.
James Arthur is currently the King of X Factor and celebrating having sold over one million copies of his debut single, 'Impossible,' but it looks like the endless party since his meteoric rise to the top might have to take a back seat after his last night out ended with him being questioned by police: so they could let him into his house.
Yes, Arthur went and committed the ultimate brain fart last night and forgot to take his keys out with him, leaving him stranded out in the blistering cold for nearly half an hour whilst he waited for police to arrive and help him in. Poor guy, luckily though, there weren't any fans around to pester the singer, as he recently admitted that he gets "freaked out" by his fans in an interview with ITN.
Hapless Arthur had been spending the night mingling with the likes of JLS and One Direction at the pre-Brits party in central London, before he and his 'friend' Caroline Flack headed off to the glitzy Groucho Club alone together for a few drinks. After geting a cab home alone, things went from bad to worse as he was left with a red face, both from embarrassment and the cold, after finding out he'd left his keys at home. At least he didn't end up pulling Flack, now that would have been awkward.
Wow. If the world weren't convinced by Harry Styles and Taylor Swift's reported romance, they sure are now. In potentially the most public kiss of all time, the boy-band star and the chart topping country star smooched in Times Square at midnight on New Year's Eve. Thousands watched on, while plenty more have since watched the video on YouTube.
According to the Daily Mail, the couple had started the evening apart, though Styles made it to Manhattan just in time to catch Taylor's performance in Times Square. Afterwards, the lovebirds hailed a cab back to their hotel and looked pretty happy as they held hands and entered the foyer. British star Harry clearly hadn't had time to drop off his bags having gone straight from the airport to the Coldplay and Jay Z concert at the Barclays Center earlier in the evening. Swift had begun the evening by heading out to dinner with brother Austin. The Red singer looked typically stylish in a thick brown winter coat and flat back shoes, later changing into leather trousers and a sparkly jacket for the live performance. "So excited to be in New York playing on @OfficialNYRE! It all starts at 8pm ET on ABC. Can't. even. verbalize. how stoked I am for 2013!" she tweeted.
Harry began dating Taylor last month, following reported relationships with Cara Delevigne, Lily Halpern and Caroline Flack.
Olly Murs may have scored a No.1 single this week - beating Girls Aloud to the top spot - though it seems it may not be enough to bag his Xtra Factor co-star Caroline Flack, who he's reportedly had his eyes on for months. James Arthur, a semi-finalist on this year's x factor competition, had admitted having a soft-spot for the ITV2 presenter.
He told New Magazine, "I think she's attractive, she's funny," adding, "I'd definitely take her out for a drink." However, James insisted that nothing would happen between the pair while he's still competing on the show. He explained, "I've got her number. If we do text each other it's a friendship thing..She's really nice, she is professional and she really wouldn't cross any mark in terms of speaking to any contestants differently to anyone else." Flack has a history of dating contestants on the show, having begun a relationship with One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles before facing a ferocious backlash from fans of the band. Flack was mobbed by the paparazzi for weeks before making a plea for One Direction Twitter fans to stop sending her death threats.
We're not sure whether James Arthur's online fan-base is as hard-core as the 1D followers, though we're pretty sure Caroline Flack would be the envy of even more teenage girls. Oh oh.
