The Hollywood icon passed away on December 27, last year
Hollywood icon Carrie Fisher had traces of cocaine, ecstasy and heroin in her system when she passed away in December last year. An autopsy has revealed the drugs discovered in the Star Wars actress at the time of her death.

Set three decades after the devastating events of 'Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi', the latest instalment sees a whole new adventure for Luke Skywalker and company, as both the light and dark of the universe clash once again. Episode VII, entitled 'Star Wars:
As it explores Hollywood's inbred underbelly, this film becomes increasingly deranged and also rather dark and creepy, but it's so fiercely entertaining that it's impossible to look away from the screen. With razor-sharp performances, a brutally witty script by Bruce Wagner and snaky direction from David Cronenberg, the film is perhaps too knowing as it explores a group of fiercely ambitious people who will stop at nothing to get what they want.
Things kick off as Agatha (Mia Wasikowska) arrives in Los Angeles and is collected by chauffeur Jerome (Robert Pattinson), who is also of course an aspiring screenwriter and actor. Focussed and determined, Agatha visits the ruins of a Hollywood Hills home before using a friendship with Carrie Fisher to get a job as an assistant to acclaimed actress Havana Segrand (Julianne Moore). Facing middle age, Havana is desperate for a comeback role in a remake of the movie that made her mother a star. Meanwhile, 13-year-old teen pin-up Benjie (Evan Bird) has completed rehab and is ready to act again, encouraged by his manager mother (Olivia Williams) and self-help guru dad (John Cusack), who are unnerved when they hear that Agatha is back in town. Clearly everyone has a secret that can jeopardise their career paths. And they're connected in ways no one wants to acknowledge.
The knotted mess of the plot is carefully unpicked over the course of the film, which only makes everything that much more intense and nasty. While it's blackly funny, the movie's overall tone is extremely grim, as these wealthy stars are crippled by emptiness and desperation. They're also willing to do just about anything to get ahead, from celebrating someone else's misfortune to blatantly lying about their pasts.

Havana Segrand (Julianne Moore) is an actress struggling with her insecurities and desperate to reprise her late mother Clarice's star role in the remake of the latter's 60s film. Constantly haunted by her mother's image and feeling like a less attractive version of her, she seeks comfort from her psychotherapist Dr Stafford Weiss (John Cusack). Weiss is struggling in his own life, with his wife managing his child star son's comeback acting career after a stint in rehab - and he's only 13-years-old. His other child, daughter Agatha (Mia Wasikowska), has been discharged from a mental hospital unbeknownst to them, and lands a job as a PA for none other than Havana. Stafford starts to become suspicious when Havana talks of her unnamed PA having a scarred face from a fire and warns his wife and son that their daughter may have returned. Meanwhile, Agatha becomes close to a limo driver named Jerome who has his own Hollywood dreams.

The sporting director posted a light-hearted response to all the secret leaking that has been going on lately.
With a movie as large and far-reaching as the new Star Wars, Episode VII, it was always going to be impossible to stop certain juicy details from leaking to the eager fanbase. Director Jj Abrams is notoriously secretive but even he has had to give in after a sneaky production team member shared several shots of the Millennium Falcon spaceship being built in some kind of hangar.
The director tweeted a photo of what appears to be the hologram chess board that appeared in the original Star Wars trilogy bearing a note that read "I wish people would stop leaking photos from Episode VII. And making ridiculous claims that the Millennium Falcon is in the movie. - JJ."
Basically, Abrams is making fun of all the people speculating over whether the Falcon will be featured in the movie by saying 'yes fools, of course one of the most famous spaceships of all time is going to be in my movie.'
It looks like JJ Abrams and his team are building a full-size Millennium Falcon for the new movie.
We have been given our first look at the brand new Millennium Falcon that is being built for the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII, thanks to an alleged photo leak TMZ has published. The new shots, which are purported to feature full-size space vehicles from the sci-fi franchise, have strongly hinted that Han Solo's iconic spaceship and others will be included in Jj Abrams upcoming reboot.
If the photos are real, they are evidence that Abrams' team has decided to create full-size versions of the vehicles that George Lucas' movies only made in miniature model sizes. It will also indicate that Episode VII will use minimal CGI effects in favour of high spec props and spacecraft models. Eagle-eyed observers also spotted what looks like an X-Wing starfighter amongst the other unknown constructions.
The photos were evidently taken in some kind of cavernous hangar which fans are speculating could be England's Pinewood Studios, where much of the movie's filming will take place. Vast sets are shown being built out of wood and covered with ladders and scaffolding as Abrams' vision slowly takes form.

The rumours were right all along.
Lupita Nyong'o and Gwendoline Christie have finally been added to the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. It has been rumoured for some time that 12 Years a Slave star Lupita had been picked for the sci-fi reboot in her first live action role since winning her Oscar this year and now we have the confirmation.
In the latest wave of casting announcements since the big reveal at the end of April, Lupita is joined by Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie in Jj Abrams addition to George Lucas' much-loved franchise. "I can finally say it out loud and proud: I'm going to a galaxy far far away!" Nyong'o excitedly posted via Instagram.
'Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back' has been named the greatest film of all time in a recent Empire Magazine poll. Does it deserve the prestigious top spot?
It may come as a bit of a surprise to hear that Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back has been voted Empire Magazine's greatest movie of all time. The new poll, which included 250,000 film fans, saw the second Star Wars movie, or the fifth, depending on whether you take chronology or date into account, beat The Godfather, The Shawshank Redemption and Pulp Fiction. Traditionally, all three films tend to rank higher than The Empire Strikes Back, in movie polls taken by film fans.
Is The Empire Strikes Back truly the greatest movie of all time?
Empire Magazine’s list is compiled of 301 films, which also includes two other Star Wars movies, Return of the Jedi and Revenge of the Sith. This surely bodes well for the franchise, which is currently working on Star Wars Episode VII, which is due for release in 2015.
Director J.J. Abrams has sent the cast and crew of ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ an enthusiastic note thanking them for their hard work and hoping can make “something great”.
J.J. Abrams has written to the cast and crew of Star Wars: Episode VII, encouraging them in the production began shooting last Friday (16th May) in London.
J.J. Abrams is directly Star Wars Episode VII.
Abrams sent a touching note to every member of the cast and crew stating what “an honour” it was to work with them and thanking them for all the “work past and future.” Abrams, who is directing the upcoming instalment in Star Wars, wished the actors well and asked they “take good care” of themselves and “each other”. The picture was obtained by moviefone and appears to have been written on a discarded piece of script paper. He also reminded them of the magnitude of the task they are taking on. Towards the end of his note he wrote “the world awaits this film,” encouraging his cast and crew with “let’s give ‘em something great!”
Princess Leia revealed what Disney wanted from her
Tom Hanks, Matthew McConaughey and Christian Bale have all shed pounds in a dangerously small amount of time in the name of art. But you rarely hear of women doing the same thing for a role, probably because they’d be accused of having bulimia or anorexia.
When Carrie Fisher played Princes Leia back in the 70s and 80s she became a sex symbol because of a certain golden slave bikini. And, despite reprising her role over four decades later, it has been revealed that she was cast on the proviso that she shed 35 pounds.
On Wednesday (May 14th) the 57 year-old actress told reporters, "They didn't hire me, they hired me minus 35 pounds."
Carrie Fisher had to make some serious changes before reprises her iconic role as Princess Leia.
The 57 year-old actress is returning to shoot the highly anticipated 'Star Wars Episode 7' 35 pounds lighter, as she revealed on Wednesday night (May 14th) the studio instructed her shed the weight.
While attending The Final Auction Preview Night by Profiles in History in North Hollywood, California, Fisher told reporters, "They didn't hire me, they hired me minus 35 pounds."
The new Star Wars cast is mobilized and ready for action.
Now that the official Star Wars: Episode VII cast has been revealed (thee whole women, the production team have really outdone themselves this time) it’s time for the constant, non-stop barrage of on-set material to commence. Starting with a full cast photo, of course.
It's really happening!
The epic black and white photo was taken during a table read in London. It shows all the castmembers sitting in a circle, with director J.J. Abrams, who's talking to Han Solo/Star Wars actor Harrison Ford in the center.

The Star Wars team building session let the cat out of the bag...
Jj Abrams' team building sessions for Star Wars Episode 7 appear to have given away the cast for the forthcoming sci-fi epic. Sources speaking with The Sun reveal that Abrams took his new cast and crew out to a swanky London eatery in a bid to get the team "gelling."

Attending the meal was Harrison Ford, who played Hans Solo in the original movies, Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia and Peter Mayhew, who played Chewbacca. Joining them around the table was 'Girls' star Adam Driver, who has been cast to play a villain, and Andy Serkis, whose role is yet to be determined.

Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford are all in the UK: could it be..?
Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford are all currently in London, prompting speculation over whether the original Star Wars trio will be reuniting to film Jj Abrams' upcoming Star Wars Episode VII. Abrams' new instalment to George Lucas' sci-fi films is about to begin shooting just outside of the English capitol at the legendary Pinewood Studios nearby.
Carrie Fisher Has Told Friends She'll Be Filming In The UK For 6 Months.
Not that any of the three have been particularly trying to disguise themselves, but there has been no grand fanfare upon the actors' touch-down in the UK. Since the franchise reboot was announced they have been rumoured to be involved, which is why their recent sightings seems to much of a coincidence.
JJ Abrams will not have the "expanded universe" novels at his disposable for 'Star Wars: Episode VII'
Disney has confirmed that storylines running through the "expanded universe" Star Wars novels will not inform J.J Abrams' forthcoming movie Star Wars Episode VII. The books were written to satisfy the appetite of fans following the release on 1983's Return of the Jedi, but Disney said in a statement that only the six Star Wars feature films and animation Star Wars: The Clone Wars are considered part of the official canon.
Jj Abrams Is Helming Star Wars: Episode VII
"These stories are the immovable objects of Star Wars history, the characters and events to which all other tales must align," said the statement. "In order to give maximum creative freedom to the film-makers and also preserve an element of surprise and discovery for the audience, Star Wars Episodes VII-IX will not tell the same story told in the post-Return of the Jedi expanded universe."

Will Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher be the "familiar faces" in Star Wars Episode VII?
If we don’t find out some serious Star Wars facts stat we think we may burst! Although fortunately the most recent press release did give us some food for thought and Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger has confirmed that the next installment will take place 30 years after the ending in Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. Just to recap, at the end of Episode VI the Empire has fallen and while the Luke, Han and Leia celebrate the victory we see the spirits of Obi Wan Kenobe and Anakin Skywalker finally reconciled and reunited.
Will Harrison Ford reprise his role as Han Solo in the new Star Wars movie?
Fans of the Star Wars franchise have been most excited to find out who the “familiar faces” indicated in the press release would be. Since Disney paid over $4bn for the franchise in 2012 and announced they would release three new movies, there has been much speculation about the direction the movies would take. While Bob Iger didn’t discuss Star Wars Episode 7 casting for the new trilogy, he did confirm that cheeky droid R2D2 would be returning. Will R2’s old friends Luke, Leia, Han and C-3P0 be joining him?
Rodarte's Star Wars collection debuted on the same day as details for Star Wars Episode VII.
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...Oh OK, not too long ago, on a catwalk in New York City.Rodarte fashion designer duo, Kate and Laura Mulleavy presented their new collection on Tuesday at New York Fashion, and the grand finale pieces were absolutely out of this world! The Mulleavy sisters founded their fashion line in 2005 and Rodarte has since gone from strength to strength, with celebrity clients including Cate Blanchett and Keira Knightley; however, their Fall 2014 collection is by far their most inventive and show-stopping collection yet.
The Rodarte sisters were fans of the Star Wars franchise as children
Closing the show, crowds were taken aback to see five fabulous and floaty finale gowns. That’s not so unusual, right? Well, each of the five romantic and silky gowns were printed with images from George Lucas’ super franchise, Star Wars! The stunning gowns wouldn’t have looked out of place on a red carpet or at a stylish do, had each of them not been sporting an image from the iconic sci-fi film. Printed on the sweeping skirts were movie stills of Luke Skywalker, chatterbox C-3PO, Jedi master Yoda and lovable droid, R2-D2. Somehow, the images don’t detract at all from the elegance of the gowns and the colour palette seems perfectly picked in order to compliment the stills. Incidentally, the show came on the same day that casting was confirmed as complete on Star Wars Episode VII, with the intention to shoot in London's Pinewood studios from May till September.

The young star misses out, but 'Star Wars' is set to launch a number of other talents.
Saoirse Ronan may be one of Hollywood’s most promising young stars, but she won’t be yielding lightsabers or galaxy-hopping when the Star Wars franchise is rebooting with Episode VII. The New York-born actor announced that she would be auditioning for the role.
Saoirse Ronan missed out on a 'Star Wars' role
"I don't have 'Star Wars.' I don't have the role," Ronan said told Indie Wire's The Playlist, who noted that she sounded “defeated when she told them the news. "I just shouldn't have said anything. I just auditioned for it, like everyone else did."
Filming is due to get underway with the first of the new trilogy, and so far we don't really have much of a clue as to what's going on.
Star Wars: Episode 7, is a phrase that either strike fear into the hearts of Star Wars fans the world over, or instil a sense of reluctant optimism in others. No matter how you feel about the rebooting of George Lucas' genre-defining sci-fi series, it is happening and there is nothing we can do about it. What we can do though is mull over every little rumor and tidbit that Disney have managed to let sneak on to the internet, and try to understand exactly where the movie's makers are in the filmmaking process.
Lucas is handing the baton over to Abrams
We do have some concrete facts about the movie so far; that Jj Abrams is directing it, or at least we're pretty sure that he still is anyway. During the summer there were rumors that the Lost creator was on the verge of stepping down from the project amidst creative differences with Disney. Having initially declined the invitation to direct the next instalment of the Star Wars franchise, his commitment to the project had always seemed somewhat in doubt, but as the months have gone by it does look as though he is committed to the job. Abrams is a pretty competent director and his involvement in the project is a promising one, providing that he doesn't go overboard with the lens flare like he did on Star Trek.

The 'Twilight' star is in the front of the limousine for once as he takes on the role of driver and aspiring actor Jerome in the new drama. As well as starring alongside Mia, who plays feisty pyromaniac Agatha Weiss, Pattinson will also appear alongside John Cusack, Julianne Moore and Carrie Fisher.
Getting the hang of cruising in a limo is one thing, but what Robert finds most difficult to get his head round is the romantic scenes, which he has previously admitted is 'awkward'.
Williams will be part of a returning force from the original movies that includes Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher.
Last Saturday (27 July), John Williams became the latest name to be tied down to the upcoming re-boot of the beloved Star Wars franchise. The composer, who has written the score for all six of the movies so far, was confirmed as a contributor by Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy during a Star Wars fan convention in Essen, Germany, with an interview with Williams emerging online soon after on the oficial Star Wars YouTube page.
John Williams, here with Samanta Wimslow, will compose the next Star Wars film
The film's confirmed director Jj Abrams had already indicated earlier this year that he hoped to have Williams return for the latest reboot of the franchise, which is expected to arrive in cinemas by summer 2015, and now with the weekend's announcement it looks as though Abrams' first wish as director has become reality.

The legendary composer will once again be on hand to provide the score for the next Star Wars film. Whilst in Germany, fans of the series were given their first look at the upcoming Star Wars Rebels series
There is still an air of apprehension surrounding the planned re-boot of the Star Wars franchise - which is now owned by Disney - however a recent interview with the great John Williams has given fans something to be a little less cautious about, as he has signed on to score the soundtrack for the seventh instalment of the sci-fi movie series. In a video interview posted on to the official Star Wars YouTube page on Saturday (July 27), the composer pledged his commitment to the franchise for at least one more film, as he also detailed his own love of George Lucas' beloved sci-fi epic.
Williams, pictured with Samanta Winslow, will be back to compose the score for the new Star Wars
The five-time Oscar winner, who won one of his golden statuettes in 1977 for his work on A New Hope, the first movie released from the series, said that he is working on the score for the upcoming film as he plans on maintaining his healthy relationship with the long-running series. Williams is the latest returnee slated to feature as part of JJ Abram's upcoming reboot, with original stars Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) and Harrison Ford (Han Solo) all rumoured to be returning to the franchise. The Empire Strikes Back writer Lawrence Kasdan has also been announced as a returnee, taking on the role of creative consultant for the film, with Lucas himself said to be involved in the filming to ensure it adheres to his own vision of the galxay far, far away. Williams and his other returnees will be working on a script that is being penned by Michael Arndt (Little Miss Sunshine, Toy Story 3), with the film expected for a summer 2015 release.
Mellody Hobson sits on the board on some of the world's biggest companies.
Mellody Hobson has married her long-time partner - Star Wars director George Lucas - at Skywalker Ranch in Marin County. The ceremony went ahead on Saturday afternoon (June 29, 2013), with former New Jersey Senator Bill Bradley giving away the bride and George's son Jett serving as the best man. The director and producer's daughters Amanda and Katie served as bridesmaids, according to the movie mogul's spokesperson.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Irish singer-songwriter Van Morrison played live at the reception, with the soulful Janelle Monae also playing a set. Steven Spielberg was also in attendance and director Francis Ford Coppola read a poem by Maya Angelou. That's some guest-list.
Lucas became engaged to DreamWorks Animation chair Hobson, 43, in January. She is also head of the Chicago-based investment management firm Ariel Investments and chairman of Ariel Mutual Funds. Oh, and she's a director at Estee Lauder, Groupon and Starbucks as well as a regular contributor at CBS - in other words, she's a big player. A huge player. It will be her first marriage, though the second for Lucas, 68.

It all went wrong for this award show; lucky it wasn't The Oscars
Live award shows are about meticulous planning, logistics and practice, but you can’t legislate for individual mistakes. Unfortunately, there were too many individual mistakes to count, culminating in a car crash of an award show, which, in turn, made for pretty funny viewing.
We had Carrie Fisher talking openly about drugs – a bit too openly for some of the audience, award givers reading telecast prompts like “Wrap it up!” instead of actually wrapping it up, and Robin Meade performing a song in an evening gown while barefoot because of an advert break that was too short. It was, all in all, YouTube fodder gold, and we loved it for that. “Hi, I’m Carrie, I’m an alcoholic. And a drug addict,” explained Fisher before announcing the winner of best animated series. “Our nominees take us into worlds we have never seen before,” she said. “Unless, like Ozzy and myself, you have taken acid. We have the same dealer, in which case this category doesn’t apply to you. Our nominees have not taken acid, at least not with me, which really is the only way to do it, as most of you know,” she said and then nodded at the still-seated Lucas, “Right, George?” There sure were some awkward looks for that one.
Akin to the night itself, this piece has focussed on the technical gaffes and not the actual winners, so here they are. “Days of Our Lives,” grabbed the big one: Best Drama, while “CBS News Sunday Morning,” won Best Morning Show, beating “Good Morning America” and “Today.” “Dr. Oz” won in the information talk show category and Doug Davidson won for Best Actor on “The Young and the Restless."

Is Carrie Fisher acting the practical joker again?
Carrie Fisher says she is squeezing back into her Princess Leia bikini for the J.J. Abrams helmed Star Wars Episode 7, revealing at a Canadian comic convention that Disney were helping her get back into shape for the role. "I'm glad they are doing a new movie because they are sending a trainer to my house so I can get in really good shape. So I'm really eating a lot of sugar in advance, as you can see. By the time I really get down to it I will have eaten everything," she said.
Fisher is known for her sense of humor and it's likely she was talking tongue in cheek, though it has only served to intensify speculation of her return to the franchise. It is known that Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford are in talks to make an appearance in Episode 7. Speaking at the convention, Carrie revealed how director George Lucas banned her from wearing underwear in the first Star Wars movie, "George did not let me wear a bra in the movie," she said, "They used masking tape - except for one scene when Mark arrives and R2 is blown up and we run under the ship. Please look closely at what's happening as I run toward the arriving mark."
Fisher first spoke of returning to the franchise in March. The new movie, one of several planned by Disney, is set to be released in 2015.
Star Wars Celebration is a weekend fan festival that brings fans and families together, from all points of the globe, to celebrate the pop-culture phenomenon that is Star Wars. This July, Star Wars Celebration will come to Essen Germany and promises to deliver a landmark experience where memories are made, families brought together, old friends reunited and new friendships formed - all in the setting of the ever-evolving Star Wars universe.
The original princess with an attitude, Carrie Fisher, is confirmed to appear at Star Wars Celebration Europe this July 26-28 in Essen, Germany. Princess Leia Organa in the original Star Wars trilogy, Fisher will be greeting fans and signing autographs in the Celebration Autograph Hall. In addition, she is scheduled to appear on the main Celebration stage for an interview and question and answer session with celebrity host, Warwick Davis where fans will enjoy entertaining straight talk on a wide number of topics.
"I'm always excited to do anything that has to do with Star Wars. It's an opportunity to travel with my metal bikini and not take the opportunity to wear my metal bikini. Especially for Germans, the last group of people I'd want to offend, metal-bikini-wise," said Carrie Fisher.
Anthony Daniels, the actor behind C-3PO, the golden protocol droid that was a central character in all six Star Wars movies, is scheduled to attend Star Wars Celebration Europe July 26-28 in Essen, Germany. Daniels will be attending the weekend fan festival to sign autographs and meet fans in the Celebration Autograph Hall as well as appear on the main Celebration Stage for an interview with Warwick Davis.
The planned sequel to the original Star Wars trilogy might see a reunion of the original cast.
You know how everyone freaked out over Disney buying out Lucasfilm last year?
Well, it turns out that might have been a really good turn for the Franchise. And you know what franchise we’re talking about here. It turns out that for the eagerly anticipated seventh Star Wars film, we might see a reunion of the Golden Trio! That’s right – Han, Luke and Leia (also known as Harrison Ford, Mark Hammil and Carrie Fisher, but who even calls them that?) have been linked to the project ever since before the Disney buyout. None of the stars have denied potentially starring in a Star Wars flick for the first time since Return of the Jedi, and in fact, both Ford and Hammil have expressed their willingness to join in, if they were ever invited back. Fisher has also talked about returning as Leia in an interview, but the statement was later presented as a joke by the actress’ representative.

Star was "only joking" according to rep
Those getting excited about the thought of Carrie Fisher returning to her role as Princes Leia in the new Walt Disney Star Wars trilogy just hold onto your horses; according to her rep she was ‘only joking’ when she told the press that she was definitely coming back to her celebrated role.
It certainly seems odd, given that the actress offered a seemingly certain “yes” to Palm Beach Illustrated when asked if she would be coming back for the new Star Wars, that her rep has now told CNN that it was a lie. Nevertheless, "She was joking," they said about the star's comment. "Nothing has been announced."
This terse statement is somewhat at odds with the apparently breezy mood Fisher was in when talking to Palm Beach. Asked on what Leia would be like these days, the actress replied “She’s in an intergalactic old folks’ home,” going on to joke “I just think she would be just like she was before, only slower and less inclined to be up for the big battle.”
Carrie Fisher says she will appear in Star Wars Episode 7.
Carrie Fisher has confirmed she will reprise her role as Princess Leia in Disney's new Star Wars movie, Episode 7. When asked by Palm Beach Illustrated whether she had signed on for J.J. Abrams' new movie, Fisher responded with a simple and definitive "Yes."
Abrams is understood to want Fisher, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill to play older versions of their original characters, and when asked what Princess Leia would be like today, Fisher joked, "Elderly. She's in an intergalactic old folks' home. I just think she would be just like she was before, only slower and less inclined to be up for the big battle." Known for her dry sense of humour, it's possible Fisher could be winding everyone up on her involvement in the movie, though it's unlikely she would give such confirmation without having any intention of appearing.
Mark Hamill - Luke Skywalker himself - recently revealed he and the other original actors are in talks to return to Star Wars, while Harrison Ford is reported to have already signed a contract.
Carrie Fisher taken to hospital for treatment following bipolar scare on board a Caribbean cruise during the week.
Carrie Fisher gave a memorable performance on board a Caribbean cruise ship earlier this week for all the wrong reasons, with the actress exhibiting very strange behaviour throughout her act. Now the Star Wars legend is said to be in hospital receiving treatment for her bipolar disorder that is believed to be at the root of the sea-bound fiasco.
According to TMZ, a rep for the actress attributed the whole ordeal to Ms Fisher's ongoing battle with the mental disorder after a video of her appearance surfaced online. In the video Fisher is seen performing some off key songs on board the Holland America Eurodam in the Caribbean, with her dog also making an unscheduled performance too, pooping and peeing all over the floor.
The movie world is on tenterhooks waiting for some kind of official confirmation that Harrison Ford will be returning to the Star Wars franchise as Han Solo. All signs seem to suggest that the rumors are true, but so far, all we have to go on is Fox Latino’s scoop, reported by El Mayimbe (Umberto Gonzalez). He’s insistent that his sources are rock solid but many Star Wars fans will be waiting for an official nod before they truly start to celebrate the news.
“Harrison Ford will reprise his role as Han Solo in the upcoming Star Wars movies. The deal is done. It's huge." That was Umberto’s take on the situation and nobody’s spoken out to deny it, so we’re assuming it’s true… but no one’s counting their chickens just yet. Roger Friedman of 411.com has gone one step further to suggest that not only will Harrison Ford be reprising his iconic role as Han Solo, but Carrie Fisher and Mark Hammill will also show their faces in the new Jj Abrams-directed episode of the Star Wars franchise. Friedman apparently learnt the news some time ago and claimed to know some vague plot details, explaining “It's some time in the future. Han, Princess Leia (presumably with a better hairstyle) and Luke Skywalker will be a lot older. Their children will be the new main characters. R2D2 and C-3PO will be unchanged.”
No official confirmation just yet, but it looks as though Ford may now be feeling grateful that he was unsuccessful in pushing to get Han Solo killed off in Return of the Jedi.
Han Solo was one sexy guy back in the day, hoo boy. The wild man of Star Wars, the outsider, the man who didn’t care, did he set our hearts a-throbbing at Contact towers. He was of course played by Harrison Ford, a man who on occasion looks like he was hewn from the ground itself, and – as time tends to dictate – Harrison’s aged somewhat since playing the bad ass role back in the late 70s and early 80s.
Yet with the news that Star Wars is returning for another three films in the near future, thanks to a deal between George Lucas and Disney, fans are suddenly questioning whether this means that all the original characters are coming back. Like Ford, the ravages of time have caught up with all of them, yet apparently they might still be keen to reprise the likes of Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia. A source who is apparently close to the actor told Entertainment Weekly that “Harrison is open to the idea of doing the movie and he’s upbeat about it, all three of them are.” By which they mean Mark Hammill back as Luke and Carrie Fisher back as Leia.
If they did come back it suggests they’d be playing some sort of parenting role to what would hopefully be the new main characters in the films. In the UK Justin Lee Collins once tried to get all the Stars Wars gang back together; what at the time looked to be a low point in his career can be viewed in hindsight as glory days indeed, in light of his behaviour this year. The silly oaf.
Yes, the "MILF" craze has gotten so popular that even big stars (or at least people that used to be big stars) will show up for a MILF-oriented sex comedy.

Lisa Picard is a struggling New York actress who has had her 15 minutes and just doesn't realize it yet. She starred in a rather carnal breakfast-in-bed commercial for Wheat Chex that made her notorious and got her fired from her steady job playing "Sally Starfish" in a production that tours elementary schools.
"If the director's cut could be seen, this would be a non-issue," she grouses in "Lisa Picard Is Famous" -- an inept documentary by an under-prepared filmmaker who has decided this starlet is on the verge of being discovered and he's determined to capture the moment when it happens.
In actuality, "Lisa Picard Is Famous" is a mock documentary by actor-director Griffin Dunne ("Practical Magic," "Addicted to Love") -- and a whimsically sardonic concept that just doesn't quite congeal because the movie is more uncomfortable than it is funny.

Somewhere out there in the cinematic ether there's an elusive line between lewdly moronic raunch comedies like "Tomcats" or "Freddy Got Fingered" and sophomoric, low-brow sex and gross-out romps that can make even intellectual types laugh until $3 concession Coca-Cola comes out of their noses.
I don't know where that line is exactly. All I know is that "Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back" is hilarious.
The latest low-budget, high-dialogue laffer from Kevin Smith -- writer-director of "Clerks," "Mallrats," "Chasing Amy" and "Dogma" -- this film puts his perennial cameo characters front and center for a combination road-trip/ruthless Hollywood satire that is so blanketed with ribald raillery it feels like machine-gun fire hitting your funny bone.
