Pregnant country singer Carrie Underwood has donated a signed guitar to help raise funds to save a police officer's canine partner.

The Before He Cheats hitmaker has given the instrument to Oklahoma officer Kevin Branscum so that he can afford to pay the medical bills for his German shepherd named Gino, who he has worked with since 2012.

Gino has already cost his master around $4,000 (£2,500) since December (14) after being infected with heartworms but the animal needs further treatment in May (15).

Underwood, who is originally from Oklahoma, shocked Branscum's colleagues with her generation donation, and they plan to put the guitar up for auction.
