The video, like the show, documents parts of Jesus’ life including his birth, his childhood, his baptism, breaking bread at the Last Supper, his crucifixion and resurrection and the feeding of the 5,000 before circling back to his journey back from Bethlehem as a new-born baby. It is, of course, popular amongst Christians, and Lakewood Church Pastor Joel Osteen heaped praise on it, saying: "You'll be inspired by CeeLo Green's beautiful rendition of 'Mary Did You Know' from the Bible Series."

The man himself has been talking about his residency in Las Vegas - CeeLo Green is Loberace. "I have three off-days [per week] since I perform Wednesday through Saturday," said Green. "I take a writing day to just write different music and think and meditate. Then I also have a recording day… It's very encouraging to only have a limited amount of space and time to get things done and all these things depend on me and my undivided attention. I'm really multitasking and becoming a master in the process."

Fellow Voice mentor Blake Shelton has also recorded a track for The Bible, which is produced by married couple Roma Downey and Mark Burnett. His is called New Kid in Town.
