Hollywood heartthrob Channing Tatum has revealed to Glamour UK in a Twitter interview that a sequel to the recently released stripper comedy 'Magic Mike' in which he stars is currently being worked on.
On the idea of 'Magic Mike 2' being brought up, Tatum replied, 'Yes, yes and yes! We're working on the concept now. We want to flip the script and make it bigger.' This is in spite of comments that he has previously made to MTV News suggesting that he wasn't planning to strip again, however, co-star Joe Manganiello has other ideas. 'We're actually talking about the possibility of doing the prequel, because if you do the sequel, then you lose Mike', he told Hollywood.com.
If you hadn't already guessed, Tatum plays the title character who takes a young beginner in the world of stripping known as the Kid (Alex Pettyfer) under his wing. He then meets the Kid's attractive sister, Brooke, who takes an interest in Mike but doesn't understand his scandalous lifestyle. Tatum has once revealed to US Weekly that he was in fact a stripper at a local nightclub after dropping out of college and in 2010 revealed that he'd like to make a film about the experience. Tatum is currently filming a biopic of stunt performer Evel Knievel in which he again plays the lead the role.
