Charli XCX almost ''killed'' herself and Rita Ora.

The 'Boom Clap' hitmaker was recently shooting the video for the pair's collaboration, 'Doing It', when she lost control of a vehicle she was driving, narrowly avoiding both of their deaths.

She revealed: ''I nearly killed both of us on the set by crashing this Barbie truck into the middle of the desert.''

The 22-year-old pop sensation said she felt especially lucky to have survived because the vehicle was a ''death-trap'' which was not safe for her to drive.

She explained: ''There were no air bags. It was this old truck. It was a death-trap! But we made it out alive and the video is great and is dropping this week.''

Charli - who will release her second album, 'Sucker', in the UK next month - added she was impressed with the 'I Will Never Let You Down' singer's acting ability while they filmed the clip, and reckons the 24-year-old star will be ''wonderful'' in the upcoming 'Fifty Shades of Grey' film, in which she features as the sister of protagonist Christian Grey, Mia.

She told the Metro newspaper: ''She is going to kill it. On the set we had to do one bit of acting and I was freaking out, like, 'I don't know how to do this', but every time she was killing it.

''She is great and I think she's going to be wonderful.''
