Charli XCX felt like Karl Lagerfeld when she was creating her new clothing line with Boohoo.

The 23-year-old singer is releasing a capsule collection with Boohoo.com this autumn which is inspired by her love of 90s style.

It is the first time Charli has ever been involved with a fashion project and she imagined she was the 82-year-old design legend - who is the creative director of Chanel - when she was sketching out her creations.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz at the Q Awards in London on Monday (19.10.15), Charli said: ''I'm currently working with Boohoo on a fashion line and that will be launching in the next couple of days.

''It's really exciting because I've never done anything like that before, I felt like Karl Lagerfeld drawing and sketching out looks and checking out fabrics. It was really fun.''

Charli admits her style selections have changed a lot since she became a pop star and her stage outfits are crucial to who she is as a performer.

She explained: ''I think my fashion sense has changed quite a lot in the last year ... especially on stage. I want to be fierce and aggressive and in your face and bitchy. But I don't care if I'm sweating or look perfect, I want it to be raw.''

Charli caused a stir on the red carpet at the Q Awards ceremony, which was held at The Grosvenor House hotel, with her choice of outfit for the ceremony - a revealing black, silk mini-dress teamed with a shearling peacoat.
