Fact: Director Sam Mendes' upcoming stage version of Charlie And The Chocolate Factory has found a home in London's West End. The production will open in May (13) at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, where it will replace Shrek the Musical.

Fact: Director Sam Mendes is set to bring the magic of Charlie And The Chocolate Factory to life after signing up to oversee a stage production of the Roald Dahl classic in London's West End next June (13). Casting has not yet begun but Johnny Depp, who previously portrayed the role of eccentric candy factory owner Willy Wonka in a 2005 movie adaptation of the story, is not expected to take part.
