Charlie Sheen is missing his daughters.

The 'Anger Management' actor has fallen out with ex-wife Denise Richards after claiming she took Sam, nine, and Lola, eight, on a festive holiday so he couldn't see them over Christmas, and is finding being separated from the girls and their sister Eloise - the 'World is Not Enough' actress' two-year-old adopted daughter - tough.

Alongside a picture of a phone case in the shape of a pink bear, Charlie wrote: ''hey Sami and Lola!!!! (and mellow-eeze) dad loves

and misses u both more than I have words for! xox c #DotingDadd (sic)''

Charlie's comments came a day after Denise retweeted a link to an article from Dr. Charles Sophy - an author and child welfare expert - about the importance of the relationship between fathers and daughters.

Linking to the article, the tweet read: ''Fathers, Daughters & Learning Self-Esteem: A healthy father-daughter relationship is key (sic)''

Charlie's tweet to his daughters follows a number he made earlier this week lashing out at Ashton Kutcher, the actor who replaced him on 'Two and a Half Men' when he was fired over his erratic behaviour in 2010.

Praising his former co-star Jon Cryer, he first tweeted on Sunday (05.01.13): ''hey Jon!!! u r a GENIUS!!! I effin love and MISS YOU old pal! Q; who's your lame side-kik? c #NiceTryCanonBoy #CH (sic)''

He then wrote the following day: ''hey relax everyone! read the hash tag! oh and Jon I'm so sorry I insulted your sidekik I meant REALLY lame c (sic)''

And yesterday (07.01.13), Charlie - who played Charlie Harper on the sit-com - made another attack on the former 'Punk'd' star.

He wrote: ''hey Ashton sorry bro all good. now quit barfing on my old brilliant show. Remember Punk'd? how duz it feel? c harp (sic)''
