The show’s cancellation ends another roller coaster year for the actor, which has also included a serious cancer scare. Speaking to the National Enquirer, the 49 year old actor revealed he had been diagnosed with a pre-cancerous throat condition earlier in the year.

"It was terrifying,” the actor said, adding that he then sought out a top throat and vocal cord specialist, who told him he would have to face a "very aggressive procedure”, that could have caused permanent damage to his dental work and voice. However the actor stayed positive throughout, saying that he "never gave up hope that I would beat this challenge.”

Sheen’s ‘Anger Management’ is the only show to bite the dust this year, his former series ‘Two and a Half Men’ will soon be coming to an end after 12 seasons. The ‘longest-running live-action sitcom’ currently on television will air its final episode, a special hour long finale on February 19th at 9 p.m.
