Charlize and Sean are rumoured to be planning a trip down the aisle.
"We’ve been friends for twenty years,” Charlize told the magazine. "He was married [to ex-wife Robin Wright], I was in a long-term relationship [with Stuart Townsend], our spouses—not regularly, but we were in each other’s lives. I think our friendship stemmed from mutual respect—more on my end, because I really didn’t have a body of work twenty years ago, but my love and passion for making films—that was our common ground.”

Despite their rocky and short-lived marriage, Penn insists that he regards Madonna with "great affection".
In an interview with The Times ahead of the release of his new movie The Gunman, the former Oscar-winner spoke about his relationship with the pop legend during the ‘80s. He frequently got into scrapes with paparazzi during that time, and was even arrested for an assault on his then-wife, but he insisted that the problems that the world could see were merely “trivial”.

Mel Gibson could have potentially returned for Mad Max: Fury Road.
George Miller, director of Mad Max: Fury Road, says he is "heartbroken" over the personal plight of Mel Gibson - the star of the original 1979 movie and its subsquent sequels. Miller picked Tom Hardy to lead the fourth film of the post-apocalyptic action franchise though has sympathy for Gibson, whom he describes as a "wonderful actor."

Check out the explosive trailer below
While Mad Max has never been a docile franchise, we were still surprised at just how ridiculous the “Western on wheels” – as creator George Miller described it – looks with Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron leading the cast. Check it out for yourself below.
Tom Hardy takes on Mad Max
It’s the first trailer for the fourth Mad Max: Fury Road, and it follows a slew of new pictures and information all revealed surrounding this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. Set in a dystopian future in the plains of arid Australia, Max is charged with combating crazed gangs that roam the lands on emphatically – and terrifyingly - decorated vehicles.
Max Rockatansky is a formidable traveller of the Australian outback, still fighting against the dystopian setting whereby population is low and resources are few. He is still suffering from past traumas - the loss of his family due to rogue criminals - and is scarred from his frequent rescue missions of the various tribes he has come across over the decades. This time, however, he is more prepared than ever to deal with the ever growing brutality of the ruffians out to kill him, and as usual he is prepared to be just as savage in order to survive. It's been a long time since any kind of law and order was held in the world, so sometimes you have to fight fire with fire. On his latest journey for peace, he meets Furiosa; a woman desperate to live life once again and is convinced that her childhood hometown on the other side of the desert holds the key to tranquility in her life.

George Miller, the man who first brought Mad Max to the big screen returned to helm this new installment of the beloved post-apocalyptic action series. According to Miller, the film keeps the dialogue to a minimum, opting instead for blistering action sequences and threadbare characterization. "I wanted to tell a linear story-a chase that starts as the movie begins and continues for 110 minutes," the filmmaker told "EW."

Two Oscar winning actress have this week cause outrage with their choice of comparatives while discussing their online experiences.
While speaking to tech site Re/Code on Tuesday (25th), Gwyneth Paltrow chose to liken reading negative comments about herself online to war. Then, days later, Charlize Theron caused outrage when she compared her experiences of Googling herself to rape in an interview with Sky News. Unsurprisingly both actresses' comments have been met with a furore of online backlash with many asking how the two women could be so insensitive.
Charlize's comments have caused outrage in recent days
Paltrow said on Tuesday,”You come across [online comments] about yourself and your friends, and it’s a very dehumanising thing.” Adding “It’s almost like how, in war, you go through this bloody, dehumanising thing, and then something is defined out of it. My hope is, as we get out of it, we’ll reach the next level of conscience."
The 38 year-old actress made an inappropriate comparison when talking about the photographers and press trying to exploit her personal life.
Charlize Theron may have gone too far with her most recent derogatory comments.
The 38 year-old actress is feeling the backlash of making a very inappropriate comparison while speaking with Sky news.
Press are known for being intrusive, but according to Theron, being subjected to the media's scrutiny is the same as being raped and that "every aspect" of her life is just "fodder for an article."
The actress doesn't enjoy the constant glare of the media spotlight.
Charlize Theron has spoken out on the subject of the media and how she is tired of being pursued and scrutinised by the press at her every turn. The South African-born actress likened the media's feverish interest in her personal life to rape and didn't back down when challenged about the strong comparison she had just made.
"I don't [Google myself] - that's my saving grace," she told Sky News in a video interview as the conversation moved on to her portrayal in the gossip media. "When you start living in that world, and doing that, you start feeling raped," she added sternly.
When quizzed as to whether she meant to use rape as a comparable sentiment, the actress replied: "Well, when it comes to your son and your private life. Maybe it's just me. Some people might relish in all that stuff but there are certain things in my life that I think of as very sacred and I am very protective over them.
After the success of Ted, Seth MacFarlane gives himself his first leading-man role in this hilarious but overlong comedy-Western. The film is clearly a passion project, as it reveals MacFarlane's love of the genre with knowing jokes in between the usual gross-out humour. But it also feels stretched rather thin, and would feel even funnier with a zippier pace and tighter story.
In 1882 Arizona almost anything can kill you. Albert (MacFarlane) is a sheep farmer who has very little respect in his tiny frontier town. His girlfriend Louise (Amanda Seyfried) has just dumped him and taken up with smug Moustachery manager Foy (Neal Patrick Harris). And his best pal Edward (Giovanni Ribisi) has issues of his own, determined to wait until marriage to have sex with his fiancee, the town's most popular prostitute Ruth (Sarah Silverman). Then a stranger rides in: Anna (Charlize Theron) is trapped in a marriage to the local outlaw Clinch (Liam Neeson) and needs a place to hide. And in Albert she finds the kind of nice guy she thought didn't actually exist in the West.
MacFarlane's most clever decision was to surround himself with terrific actors who can effortlessly play both comedy and drama. As a result he just about gets away with a performance that doesn't stretch him at all. Theron is especially good, bringing an offhanded humour to her scenes that grounds the entire film. She may roll her eyes at the bad jokes while laughing openly at the good ones, but she stays firmly in character, which makes her scenes with MacFarlane and Neeson crackle with all kinds of romantic energy.

Albert is a rather introverted sheep farmer who tries at all costs to avoid confrontation with the occasional gun-toting outlaw who may pass through the small Arizona town in which he lives. His reluctance to engage in any kind of combat has cost him his girlfriend, but on the upside, he's still alive - which is more than can be said for a large percentage of townspeople. There is danger is every turn and Albert is feeling a little low in confidence - that is, until the arrival of the town's feisty new resident Anna. She wants to show him how to aim and fire a loaded pistol and, generally, how to win a fight, which is just as well because one man is on his way over with the intention of dominating the town with his formidable reputation. Unfortunately for Albert, he's Anna's estranged husband and, with Albert having spent so much time with her, it is starting to look like he's finally run out of luck.

Stars often lose and gain weight for roles, but does this guarantee awards success?
Losing or gaining more than 20 pounds is a huge deal for most people. Not for the celebrities though! Those guys drop and put back on weight for roles in the blink of an eye. Most recently, Matthew Mcconaughey who is renowned for his hulky physique, lost 3 and a half stone to play Ron Woodruff in six time Oscar nominated movie, The Dallas Buyers Club. The movie, which is set in the 80’s amid the initial HIV epidemic, sees Matthew’s character diagnosed with AIDS. Matthew has already won a Golden Globe for his performance and is also up for the Best Actor Oscar.
Matthew lost 3.5 stone for his role in The Dallas Buyers Club
It’s been made light of in the past that when actors go through a serious image transformation for a role then they’re certain to be up for some award nominations. Let’s take a look at some other actors who have lost or gained weight for roles and see if this really is the case!

Albert is one of the more lucky men living in his doomed Arizona town, mainly because he hasn't yet died; quite a feat for a sheep farmer who can't fire a gun in a time where outlaws rule the West. After one failed confrontation on his part, he is promptly dumped by his girlfriend, but this doesn't prove to be a bad thing when an extremely attractive and feisty new resident shows up in the town. Albert agrees to show her around her new neighbourhood, while she decides to help him man-up and learn how to gun fight properly. It's just as well because he soon finds himself facing mortal peril at the arrival of her ruthless outlaw husband - and he's not the only one who'd rather avoid confrontation this time. With his new friend's encouragement, however, he tries to step-up and take charge of the situation - let's just hope his luck hasn't run out by now.
Following the success of his live action directorial debut 'Ted', 'Family Guy' creator Seth Macfarlane is back with western comedy 'A Million Ways To Die In The West' in which he stars, directs and co-wrote with Alec Sulkin an d Wellesley Wild ('Dads ', 'Ted', 'Family Guy'). The movie is set to be released in the UK on June 6th 2014.
A Motley Crue announcement, an out-of-this-world Grammys gig and an angry Quentin Tarantino: there wasn't a dull moment in the news this week.
Grammy Awards Glory: Last Sunday's Grammy Awards proved probably the most spectacular ceremony in living memory. The most enviable of all performance line-ups entertained a near-record 28.5 million viewers, with Madonna, Daft Punk, Beyoncé and Jay Z, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Kendrick Lamar, Imagine Dragons, Stevie Wonder, Nile Rodgers, Ringo Starr, Sir Paul McCartney, Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age and Dave Grohl all showing off their skills.
As for the small matter of the actual awards, Pharrell Williams, Daft Punk and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis were the evening's big winners whilst newcomer Lorde picked up two gongs and Jay Z and Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Kacey Musgraves and Black Sabbath were also prominent victors. This, year, perfect pop princess Taylor Swift went home empty-handed, which made for some pretty funny videos.
The red-band trailer for 'A Million Ways to Die in the West' is here.
A man getting his head squished by a giant block of ice. A photographer being burnt alive. A woman dying from surgery for a splinter. All these unfortunate endings make up the new movie - and first trailer - for Seth Macfarlane's A Million Ways to Die in the West.
Charlize Theron [L] and Seth MacFarlane [R] in 'A Million Ways to Die in the West'
The Family Guy creator directs, co-writes and stars in the western comedy, playing a farmer who enlists the help of a gunslinger's wife (Charlize Theron) in the hope of winning back his ex-girlfriend.
Albert is a sheep farmer who, unlike most men in his small Arizona town, is unable to handle a gun and tries to avoid confrontation at every opportunity. He gets dumped by his girlfriend for his spinelessness - but as a passive individual, he's still one of the luckiest guys in his neighbourhood having so far avoided death. This is a town where the residents are constantly in danger at every corner, but Albert finds his inner strength at the arrival of an attractive and feisty new resident who is willing to death him how to fire a pistol and stand up to his adversaries. And it's just as well when a dangerous outlaw shows up and starts to try and run the town, revealing that he is the husband of Albert's new female friend. Could his luck be up this time?
Behold! The exciting new "punny" posters ahead of the western comedy's release.
A host of pun-tastic and risqué posters has been released ahead of the release of Seth Macfarlane's new comedy western, A Million Way To Die In The West. Starring Amanda Seyfried, Sarah Silverman, Neil Patrick Harris, Liam Neeson, Charlize Theron, Giovanni Ribisi, and MacFarlane himself, the movie certainly pulls no punches when it comes to rounding up a killer cast.
MacFarlane Plays a Sheep Farmer Who's About To Receive The Courage Shake-Up He Needs When Charlize Theron Rolls Into Town.
As well as directing, co-writing and producing the comedy, Seth also takes on the role of cowardly sheep farmer Albert. After Albert backs out of a gunfight, his fickle girlfriend (Seyfried) leaves him for another man. However, the farmer hadn't counted on a mysterious and beautiful woman (Theron) riding into town, who helps him find his courage.
2014 could have already introduced the newest power couple of the year as Charlize Theron and Sean Penn enjoy some alone time at the actor's Hawaiian property over the Holidays.
Has the first new celebrity couple of 2014 already been revealed?
Charlize Theron and Sean Penn join each other over the holiday period in Hawaii.
The Hollywood superstars have sparked romance rumors after they were photographed relaxing at Penn's Hawaii home.
The new year might have brought a brand new celeb romance.
Look out for a new celebrity couple on the horizon – the latest pair to spark dating rumours have been Sean Penn and Charlize Theron. The Hollywood heavyweights apparently spent the holidays together in Hawaii this year, before jetting back to LA on New Year’s Day. Since then, the two have reportedly been enjoying each other’s company on several occasions, although the paps haven’t been nosy enough to catch them being all lovey-dovey.
Sean Penn has been known as something of a ladies man around town, but maybe those days are over.
And because we live in an age where anybody can stalk whomever they like, apparently “Twitter sightings” have placed the couple somewhere in the Waikiki area of Oahu, and on Dec. 30, the duo was photographed relaxing on the beach with another unnamed friend, E!News reports.

Neil Patrick Harris will certainly be a popular choice as host of the Emmys.
Neil Patrick Harris has landed the top awards hosting job in television for the second time. Such is the natural ability of the man, that organizers of the Primetime Emmy Awards have invited him back to helm the show at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on September 22, 2013.
"Four years ago, Neil was an amazing Emmy host and we are excited to have him back," Bruce Rosenblum, the Television Academy chairman and CEO, said in a statement. "Neil is an extremely gifted and inventive performer, and we look forward to seeing what he has in store this year." A hugely popular awards show host, Harris said he "couldn't be more honored and excited" to host the Emmys - the biggest date on the television industry's calendar. The 'How I Met Your Mother' actor is also hosting the Tony Awards for the fourth time this year, which honors the best shows and performances on Broadway. This year's ceremony comes from the Radio City Music Hall in New York next month.
A three-time Emmy Award winner himself, Neil Patrick Harris is currently shooting Seth Macfarlane's new comedy A Million Ways To Die In The West, about a cowardly farmer who seeks the help of a gunslinger's wife to help him win back the woman who left him. It also stars Amanda Seyfried, Liam Neeson and Charlize Theron and hits theaters on May 30, 2014.

Can Seth Macfarlane recover from the bad reviews of his Oscars hosting performance?
They say that all publicity is good publicity, right? Though it has to be said, if Seth Macfarlane happens to be self-googling this morning, he will probably be questioning why they say that and whether it holds any truth at all. After Macfarlane shut the lid on his controversial Oscars hosting stint, the dust is still a long way from settling.
Macfarlane’s management of his hosting role resulted in him offending pretty much every minority group going, particularly women and Jews (and especially Jewish women, we expect). And judging by New York Times’ report on the matter, even the white middle-class males that for the leftover majority managed to be offended on behalf of and out of sympathy for everyone that was already offended. Academy member Lawrence Turman remarked “I think I’m a very liberal guy, but I actually winced.” Jewish groups have labeled the Family Guy creator as “offensive, unfunny and inappropriate,” the Daily Mail report, after his Ted alter-ego told Mark Wahlberg that he had to be Jewish if he wanted to work in Hollywood.
He also took a pop at Adele’s weight, Chris Brown and Rihanna’s relationship and a whole bunch of female Hollywood actresses, including Jennifer Lawrence and Charlize Theron, for daring to take their clothes off in movies. It’s not looking good for Macfarlane, who appears to have offended everyone in sight, if the headlines are to be believed (and the paragraphs after the headlines, containing all the evidence…) but hey, at least the ratings were up, eh, Seth!? That’s the main thing, right?

Eric Stonestreet, Charlize Theron? Really? The Twitter universe came alive over the weekend with rumors that the Modern Family star was dating the Hollywood beauty. The story actually began in the pages of Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper, which claimed “things are blossoming” between Stonestreet and Theron.
A ‘source’ told the newspaper, “Eric is down to earth and funny and Charlize thinks the world of him. It’s early days but they’re very fond of each other,” though funny-man Stonestreet quickly took to Twitter to silence the rumormongers in his own inimitable way, saying, “I wish people would stop spreading rumors that Charlize Theron and I are dating…It’s starting to make Halle Berry jealous.” The actor’s representative later issued a more formal denial of the story, telling People magazine, “There is nothing romantic going on between them. He has only met Charlize twice!” Despite Stonestreet rejecting the rumors, there was still speculation that Charlize and he would walk the red-carpet together at the 2012 Emmy Awards on Sunday.
In the end it wasn’t Theron – or Halle Berry for that matter – who accompanied the actor to the Emmys. Before the show, he tweeted, “Today I’m taking my best friend Paul to the Emmys. He dared me to audition for the first play I ever did.”
