'Nymphomaniac' Trailer Accidentally Played To Kids Before Disney Film

Shocked Floridian parents have been left fearing for the innocence of their young children after the trailer for Lars Von Trier's provocative new movie Nymphomaniac was screened during what should have been the child-friendly advert reel in the cinema.

Excited children waiting to see the sweet and festive Oscar-tipped Disney movie Frozen with their parents had hands held over their eyes as someone in the projection room slipped up in a monumental goof.

Some parents shielded their kids' eyes whilst others reportedly walked out of the auditorium whilst sexually explicit images flashed across the screen. Flustered grandmother Lynn Green described the scene: "They put in the filler, it looked like Steamboat Willie the old Mickey Mouse cartoon, and then all of a sudden it goes into this other scene," she said.

The Much-Hyped Movie Has Already Stirred Up Controversy.

"It seemed like forever when you're trying to, you know, cover a little guy's eyes. I didn't have enough hands to cover his ears too and he got the sound down real good," she told My Fox Tampa Bay, via The Guardian.

Set for release in March next year, the controversial Danish director's 5 hour-long new movie will be chopped down to two two-hour sittings. The teaser trailer for the film, which stars Von Trier favourite Charlotte Gainsbourg, was deemed too explicit for YouTube and was banned for violating the site's policy on sexual content.

Whilst the Florida incident and the YouTube ban may only serve to heighten the notoriety and the interest in Von Trier's film, two versions of Nymphomaniac will be released with one being classed as an 'Explicit' version. The hardcore version of Nymphomaniac is said to include scenes of unsimulated sex, supposedly with porn actors' genitals digitally grafted on to the bodies of the cast.

Though Von Trier is now allowed back at next year's Cannes Film Festival after his "Nazi" speech ban, Cannes has confirmed that the film will not qualify for competition at next's year's festival because the event is reserved for premieres only and Nymphomaniac will be shown in Copenhagen on Christmas Day.

Known for his arthouse-style and often disturbing films, the Antichrist director has been described as "the most dangerous dude" by actor Shia LaBoeuf who stars in the movie alongside Uma Thurman, Stellan Skarsgard, Willem Dafoe, Jamie Bell and Christian Slater. The sex, BDSM and prostitution scenes shown in the trailer are just a taster of the movie in which Gainsbourg plays a self-confessed nymphomaniac, or sex addict, recalling her life story whilst attending group therapy sessions.
