Chelsea Handler is leaving E! to join the online community.

The 39 year-old has reportedly signed a 7-year deal with Netflix that is set to start this coming fall, the streaming site announced Thursday (June 19th).

Handler's new gig will see her appear in comedy specials and helm a brand new talk show in 2016.

The career move doesn't come as too much of a surprise since E! announced that 'Chelsea Lately' will be canceled at the end of August, four months before her contract runs out.

The decision to pull the plug on the comedienne's talk show early may be due to her publically discussing her desire to leave the network, which she has been part of since 2007.

Handler doesn't seem to be leaving E! too happy as she has been very critical on more than one occasion.

"They don't know what they're doing" she said on Howard Stern's radio show, adding, "They have no ideas. It's a failure."

Handler will immediately start working on projects for Neflix and is expected to tape her first comedy special on Friday night (June 20th) in Chicago, as part of her current "Uganda Be Kidding Me" tour.

She will also tape four "docu-series specials" in 2015, which will focus on "her efforts to gain a better understanding of a variety of subjects ranging from NASCAR to politics and from Silicon Valley to the NBA draft," Netflix said in a statement.

"If I was going to continue working in this industry, I knew I had to do something outside the box to keep myself interested," Handler added. "I wanted to sit with the cool kids at lunch so I approached Netflix to make sure they were as cool as I thought they were, and when I confirmed my suspicions, like with any other future lover, I made my move."

Adding, "I'm more excited than I've been in a while, and the team at Netflix is the most forward thinking, alert group I've sat down with in ages. No offense to the Shahs Of Sunset."
