Doctors have ordered the 68 year-old singer to get more rest to ensure a full recovery after contracting a viral infection in September.
Back in September Cher disappointed many of her fans after cancelling several concerts due to health issues, and unfortunately the iconic singer's condition hasn't improved, therefore all remaining dates on the second leg of her 'Dressed To Kill' tour have been postponed.

Cher informed concertgoers, "with enormous regret" she has been forced to cancel all remaining shows as she is still recovering from contracting a viral infection two months ago that is affecting her kidney function.
The 68 year-old singer has rescheduled two Dressed To Kill concerts, but the rest of the tour is expected to remain the same.
Cher has had to disappoint many of her fans by cancelling several upcoming concerts due to health issues. The iconic singer has postponed the second leg of her Dressed To Kill tour after contracting an "acute viral infection," according to her rep.
Cher needs to recover from an "acute viral infection"
Cher was scheduled to open the second leg of her tour with a show on September 11th in Albany, N.Y., but this has been pushed back to October 6th. Her Manchester, N.H., concert on September 13th has also been rescheduled for October 7th.
'Acute viral infection' forces the 68 year old star to rest for several days.
The evergreen pop star Cher has been forced to cancel tour dates because of an ‘acute viral infection’. The singer was about to embark upon the second leg of her world tour, but has been ordered to rest by doctors for several days.
Cher has been forced to cancel two US tour dates, which have rescheduled for October
The 'Dressed To Kill' tour is her first since the mammoth farewell tour that ended in 2005: like pretty much every farewell tour in pop music history, it wasn’t. Cher has already played 49 shows on her latest jaunt, which is set to resume on September 15th in Allentown, Pennsylvania, while the cancelled dates in Albany, New York and Manchester, New Hampshire have been rearranged for October 6th and 7th respectively. Fans can keep their tickets for the rescheduled dates or can get a full refund, and the rest of the tour is expected to stay the same.

Calling an album after the name of an estranged wife is certainly weird but it pales in comparison to some of music's most horrific album titles.
In perhaps the most audacious and downright ridiculous move the music business has witnessed in the last few years, singer Robin Thicke has announced his new album will carry the title of Paula, which by some strange coincidence just happens to be the name of his estranged wife- actress Paula Patton.
Thicke and Paula in more happy circumstances.
To say such a public declaration of love is cringe-worthy would be an understatement, it is such a trite attempt at reconciling with his wife that is seems like something straight out of Spinal Tap. You can imagine the album title sitting quite comfortably alongside the likes of Smell The Glove and Shark Sandwich. As if that wasn’t irksome enough, Thicke’s debut single from the album is entitled "Get Her Back” and it sees the ageing crooner positively straining to exude as much heartfelt sincerity as he can before he gives himself a heart attack.
The announcement came with a snippet of the album.
Cher has officially confirmed her guest appearance on Wu-Tang Clan’s upcoming album. According to Forbes, Cher will lend her iconic voice to two tracks on Wu-Tang’s upcoming “secret album,” The Wu – Once Upon A Time In Shao Lin. The album is shrouded in mystery at this point and, in classic Wu Tang style, the hip hop group has kept mum about the project. The collaboration was announced by Cher’s rep, who said on Tuesday: “She recorded her parts separately, so I don't believe there was direct interaction.”
This will be Wu-Tang's first album since 2011.
In a video posted by Forbes on Tuesday, writer Zack O'Malley Greenberg traveled to Marrakesh, Morocco to "become the first civilian" to hear the album. Apparently Wu-Tang are making only one physical copy of the record, to be sold to the highest bidder. Tarik "Cilvaringz" Azzougarh, the album's producer, played one song on-camera. The track features Ghostfaced Killah, rapping over a fast beat with a high-pitched female vocal (not Cher) in the background. At the end of the track, Cher sings, "Wu-Tang, baby. They rock the world."

The ‘Happy’ singer will be casting a critical eye over a new generation of singing talent.
Pharrell Williams is to replace The Voice's outgoing coach, Cee Lo Green, who recently announced that he's be stepping away from NBC's talent contest to focus on his own musical career. Williams, who served as a guest mentor to Usher's team in season four, will replace the longtime judging on the singing competition's upcoming seventh season. The show's Twitter feed broke the news on Monday and quickly received an outpouring of excitement as fans spread the word.
Pharrell Williams Is To Replace Outgoing Coach Cee Lo Green On 'The Voice.'
"Okay, we can OFFICIALLY say it! WE ARE SO #HAPPY to announce PHARRELL WILLIAMS = #NewVoiceCoach for SEASON 7," the show captioned a shot of the new judge. The last year has seen the 40 year-old pop star on a high: he collaborated on last year's top two songs of the summer, 'Blurred Lines' and 'Get Lucky,' has worked on the Amazing Spider-Man 2 score alongside Hans Zimmer and received an Oscar nomination for his chart-smashing Despicable Me 2 song, 'Happy.'

Cher and Greg Allman's son, the musician and artist Elijah Blue Allman, has opened up about his battle with drug addiction, which he says began when he was only 11 years old. The 37-year-old was speaking to old ET's Rob Marciano when he admitted his early-age drug abuse.
Cher's son has detailed his history of drug abuse
"I started with drugs... at around 11, just weed, Ecstasy, acid; it started with that kind of Grateful Dead parking lot culture,” he explained. "I can remember being 14 and doing huge hits of nitrous (oxide) and falling under a taxi cab and, like, waking up with the doorknob on my forehead."

Cher was, by far, the biggest star on Dancing With the Stars last night (4th November). The singer was a guest judge on the show and performed, with a miraculous change of costume three times.
Cher guest judged on DWTS.
The seven remaining couples were feeling the pressure this week since last week's elimination when Snooki went home. The Jersey Shore star and her professional partner were not the lowest scoring couple and even performed their samba admirably, yet it wasn't enough to save them!

Lady Gaga has released a video promoting her upcoming album Artpop. This coincides with the release of her lyric video for her current single 'Applause'.
Lady GaGa has released a promotional video for her prematurely released single 'Applause'. In true Gaga style the video shows the 27-year-old pop sensation sitting naked in a room, wearing a transparent visor. Although she says nothing, she employs reverse psychology by telling her fans not to buy her 'Applause' single or her upcoming Artpop album.

The video, entitled Lady Gaga is Over - A Film by the Haus of Gaga features subtitles which tell the viewer not to purchase her song or albums. The subtitled video states, whilst Lady Gaga's face is illuminated in a flickering light, that "Lady Gaga is no longer relevant." It continues by saying that she has not been relevant since 'Born this Way' and she is a "flop" and "over." It capitalises "do not" and instructs the viewer not to buy her songs. Furthermore the video tells fans that they should give her no "A-P-P-L-A-U-S-E."

Amanda Bynes attended Manhatten Criminal Court over charges relating to Marijuana possession and an incident in which she, allegedly, threw a bong from the window of a rental building in New York. She appeared wearing a blue wig and casual clothes.
Amanda Bynes was seen attending Manhattan Criminal Court yesterday (9th July). The former child-actor is allegedly being charged with reckless endangerment, tampering with physical evidence and possession of marijuana according toNY Daily News. It appears the charges surround an alleged incident in which Bynes threw a bong out of a 36th floor window.

The incident occurred after Rudy Toro, the manager of the building in which Bynes was staying, complained to police that she had rolled and smoked a joint in the lobby. When police entered her apartment she threw the drug paraphernalia out of the window. She later claimed when questioned that the item was "a vase".
Cher is closely escorted to her limousine as she attempts to leave the Marquee club on 10th Avenue in New York City. She is surrounded by fans and the crowd is so big that it dangerously spills out on the road despite heavy traffic. While Cher attempts to weave her way through, a fan tries to take a photo with her, but she appears to hastily turn away.
Cher is swamped by fans and paparazzi as she arrives for Andy Cohen's 'Watch What Happens Live' in New York City. She attempts to steer them out of the way herself before signing a couple of autographs and entering the building. One concerned photographer repeatedly shouts, 'Guys, don't push her!' The dance superstar is dressed her usual elaborate self in a black and white striped blazer jacket with diamond print and striped pants to match.
Despite her experience, Cher still gets nervous when performing live
Considering she’s one of the foremost fashion and music icons in the world, we doubt very much that Cher is, as she describes herself, “a chicken”. But, talking to The Hollywood Reporter, the 67-year-old admitted how scared she was at taking to the stage for the first time in over a decade.
The legendary singer was performing at The Voice finale, showing off a new track from her upcoming album. "It's the first time I've been onstage or singing live -- the last time I think was with Tina [Turner] and I think that was about five or seven years ago," she explains. "And before that -- I can't even remember the last time I was on TV before that." Needless to say, she belted out Woman's World - off her upcoming album, Closer to the Truth – with the kind of audacity and aplomb that launched her to stardom, but that’s not to say there weren’t any butterflies. "It's very exciting and it makes you feel elated, but it's also kind of scary. And I'm a big chicken anyway," she added.
Closer to the Truth, which will be hitting stores on September 24, is Cher’s first album since 2002's Living Proof. "I actually did a couple of different things in this album," she says. "I ventured into places I haven't gone and I really enjoyed that. I kind of took some chances in this album and then when they turned out to be good, I was really happy."

Cher will make her long-awaited return to live TV during next week's The Voice finale
Cher will make her return to music during the final episode of this season's The Voice, which is due to air on June 18, with the singing legend due to perform her brand new single from her upcoming record. According to network officials at NBC, Cher will perform 'Woman's World' during the season finale of the talent show, after 12 years since she last sang on TV.
The network broke the news on Monday (June 10) that Cher's long-time absence from performing her music on TV is to be broken next week, with the Oscar, Grammy and Emmy-winning singer and actress making her first singing appearance since the 2002 VH1 Divas Las Vegas special. Since then, Cher has mostly concentrated on touring and performing live, occasionally filming small parts for film and television. Between 2003 and 1005, during the 'Living Proof Tour,' Cher performed more than 300 shows across the world, taking a long break from work after.
'Woman's World' is the first single taken from Cher's upcoming album, also called Woman's World, which is set to be release din September this year. The single and album release comes twelve years since her last release - the 2001 album Living Proof - and features producion from Timbaland and songwriting from Pink, Lady Gaga and Jason Derülo. Her new album probably wont be as successful as her last return to music through, when the 1998 single 'Believe' hit the number one spot in charts across the globe and went on to sell more than 20 million copies.

Cher's visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week was definitely a family affair.
Cher stopped by Ellen yesterday to have for a chat about her life, her career and her son Chaz. Not before a quick outfit change for Ellen though, as it turned out she and Cher were wearing the same thing! Ok, they weren’t really, the whole thing was a gag by Ellen to tease her iconic guest’s appearance. On the day before, the talk show host tweeted a digitally altered image of Cher’s body in her infamous sequined bodysuit, but with Ellen’s head, instead of her own, The Daily Mail reports. Ah, the magic of image-altering software! The sailor hat was a nice touch as well.
The gags were set aside during Cher’s actual visit though, as she, her 86-year-old mother 86-year-old mother Georgia Holt and her 61-year-old half-sister Georganne LaPiere talked to Ellen about the coming out story of Cher’s son, Chaz Bono. Apparently Chaz didn’t go the traditional route and instead came out to his grandmother first, with Cher being the last one to find out that her son was gay.
'That's a big deal to come out to the grandmother,' DeGeneres said.

Moonstruck tells the story of Loretta (Cher, in her Academy Award-winning performance), a thirtysomething Brooklyn widow, who is apparently happy in her humdrum life. She lives with her parents, goes to work, and looks for nothing more. Life becomes too difficult when extremes enter the picture. Her fiancé, Johnny (Danny Aiello), fits her life model to a T, a supremely ordinary man in every way, including romance. Loretta has to practically walk him through his proposal, and she always kisses him first. For Loretta, that's fine. She loved her last husband and that caused her nothing but heartache. "When you love them, they drive you crazy," her mother explains.
