Cher will make her return to music during the final episode of this season's The Voice, which is due to air on June 18, with the singing legend due to perform her brand new single from her upcoming record. According to network officials at NBC, Cher will perform 'Woman's World' during the season finale of the talent show, after 12 years since she last sang on TV.

The network broke the news on Monday (June 10) that Cher's long-time absence from performing her music on TV is to be broken next week, with the Oscar, Grammy and Emmy-winning singer and actress making her first singing appearance since the 2002 VH1 Divas Las Vegas special. Since then, Cher has mostly concentrated on touring and performing live, occasionally filming small parts for film and television. Between 2003 and 1005, during the 'Living Proof Tour,' Cher performed more than 300 shows across the world, taking a long break from work after.

'Woman's World' is the first single taken from Cher's upcoming album, also called Woman's World, which is set to be release din September this year. The single and album release comes twelve years since her last release - the 2001 album Living Proof - and features producion from Timbaland and songwriting from Pink, Lady Gaga and Jason Derülo. Her new album probably wont be as successful as her last return to music through, when the 1998 single 'Believe' hit the number one spot in charts across the globe and went on to sell more than 20 million copies.

The Voice Season Finale will air on June 18 and will see the final few performers battle it out for this season's crowd and glory.
