Cheryl Cole denies she lip syncs when she performs live.

The 'Call My Name' singer was rumoured to have been miming when she appeared on TV show 'The Voice' in the UK last month, but she laughs off such accusations and takes them as a compliment of how accurate her vocals are.

She told BBC News: ''If you think my live vocal sounds so good it must be mimed, I'm happy. I take it as a compliment.''

Cheryl is about to release her third album, 'A Million Lights', and promises it features some ''dub'' tracks.

She told ''Well I like to cause a little bit of a nuisance. I've got a lot of dub on there. Which some people consider as noise! Some people don't like dub at all.''

Cheryl is quite open about the fact she doesn't write most of the lyrics on her album, as she sees the final product as the most important thing.

She said: ''Sometimes it takes a lifetime to master your craft. To be an amazing lyricist doesn't mean you're a good performer. There are some people out there who write the best songs in the world and their idea of hell is going on stage and singing those songs.

''But to collaborate with someone like that, and to create a pop song out of it, is amazing, and I'm not afraid of that.

''I don't care that I didn't write it, I just appreciate other people's talents.''

'A Million Lights' is out on June 18.
