Cheryl Cole will release her third album 'A Million Lights' on June 18.

The 'Promise This' hitmaker - who has taken time out of the limelight after she was sensationally sacked as a judge on the panel of the US 'x factor' - will release the first single 'Call My Name' from the album on June 10, with the LP following a week later.

'Call My Name' will receive its first plays on UK radio this Friday (20.04.12).

A release on her website confirms previous claims she was to drop her surname and be known just as Cheryl, with the statement ''Cheryl is back''.

A source said recently: ''Cheryl is beginning a new chapter in her life so she doesn't want to be associated with negative stuff from the past.

''She's not removing Cole legally, it's just a career statement. She's in a really good place at the moment and wants to take life by the balls.

''She can't wait to start performing live again and her new stage name has given her comeback an extra bit of spice.''

The singer worked with US producer Alex da Kidd on the record, which follows on from 2010's 'Messy Little Raindrops'.
