Cheryl Cole wanted her shoes to feel "expensive on the foot".

The 28-year-old singer recently unveiled her debut shoe range for website Stylistpick, and she admits she knew exactly what she wanted to achieve when creating the collection.

She said: "I tried to combine luxury and comfort. All the high shoes are really padded and cushioned so they feel expensive of the foot - it was my thing to try to find a pair of gorgeous high shoes that you could wear as long as possible."

However the stylish star admits she does not have problems with shoes of any sort because she has spent so long wearing them.

She told Britain's Grazia magazine: "I can walk in heels of any height and I can dance in them, because I've just been doing it for so long.

"As a kid, I was a ballet dancer and I always had really sore toes. I had to have them broken and re-straightened, which sorted them out, but because I'm quite small, to me, getting dressed is all about heels.

"I have another pair of Louboutins that are cripplingly painful but I'm trying to ease myself into them gently, wearing them for a few minutes every now and again."
