Actress Chloe Sevigny has spoken out about her relationship woes, revealing she's single and desperate for a man but finds romance "painful" after losing the love of her life.
The Boys Don't Cry star is famously guarded about her private life and often avoids discussing her relationships in interviews.
But in a candid chat with Britain's Guardian Weekend magazine, she reveals she was left badly hurt by a jibe about her looks and no longer has any contact with her one true love.
Sevigny says, "I was in a relationship with somebody who recounted that someone had said of me, 'She has a great body, but the face not so much.' That was it."
Asked to name the love of her life, she replies, "Other than my dad, there was a boy, but he is not in my life any more... (Love is) very painful... I don't have a boyfriend at the moment."
And when asked what "single thing" would improve the quality of her life, Sevigny answered simply, "A man."
