Chris Brown has weighed in on the controversy surrounding footballer Ray Rice, offering advice and drawing on his own experiences following his 2009 assault conviction. During an interview with MTV, Brown was asked for his opinion on the former Baltimore Raven, who was cut from the team and suspended by the NFL this week after a video emerged showing him hitting his then-fiancee.

Music producer Suge Knight has reportedly been injured after a shooting at a pre-VMA party in Los Angeles, hosted by singer Chris Brown. Witnesses say that 25 year old Brown, was the target of the gunman, but was thought to have been unharmed. Knight, 49, is said to have been shot six times during the incident and is currently thought to be recovering in intensive care, according to TMZ.

The world’s favorite Canadian rapper has announced another album. “Views From The 6”, Drake’s fourth offering so far, will be released under the emerging OVO Sound, Drake’s own label. Although he’s announced the album, according to Rolling Stone recording won’t begin until after his tour with Lil Wayne concludes on September 27th, 2014, and the album itself likely won’t drop until spring of next year. Drake is currently set to perform his sold-out OVO Fest in Toronto, Canada alongside Outkast and mystery guests, beginning August 3rd, after which he’ll move on to his international tour and then the studio.

Though theories abound about the vague title, one popular speculation as told by Billboard.com claims it as a reference to his hometown of Toronto, where the primary area codes are 416 and 647. Friend and fellow OVO Sound musician Jimmy Prime reportedly gave Toronto the nickname of “The 6” due to the codes’ common digit. Coupled with his video for “Started From The Bottom” which depicted him working in Canadian chain Shoppers Drug Mart and rapping in the snow, “Views From The 6” lies naturally within the same vein as his frequent Toronto shoutouts.

The assault cases in the entertainment business just keep coming. After Chris Brown, Justin Bieber and most recently, Wiz Khalifa, have all faced assault charges, the unfortunate trend is apparently moving across the pond. Former N-Dubz member Dappy has been fined £800 for slapping a man outside Chicago’s in Clemsford after an event back in February. According to BBC News Dappy, 27, faced trial at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court under his real name Dino Costas Contostavlos. Mr Contostavlos was also told to pay a victim surcharge of £80 and costs of £930. He is only the latest to go down in a disturbing series of high profile cases of violence.

Dappy is in abundant, if not very flattering company these days.

At the beginning of the year, former pop sweetheart Justin Bieber was charged with assault after allegedly getting in a brawl with a Toronto limo driver. The incident took place in December 2013.

Justin Bieber and Chris Brown have reunited and appear to have recorded a track together as Bieber hinted on his Instagram. The 20-year-old posted two pictures of himself with Chris Brown and an entourage on Saturday (14th June) and yesterday (16th). 

Justin Bieber and Chris Brown appear to be teaming up for a duet again.

One picture was of Bieber and Brown together and the 'Baby' singer had captioned it: "Studio, me and CB did one for the fans." Another showed Bieber and Brown standing next to each other in the studio surrounded by posing members of their entourage. The latter was simply captioned "studio".

In the world of fallen celebrities this week, Chris Brown is out of jail and his girlfriend Karrueche Tran is chair of the “welcome home” committee. Brown got released after spending 80 days behind bars for violating his probation in the Rihanna case of 2009. Back in October of 2013, he got in an altercation in Washington, for which he got a total of 108 days in correctional facilities, including rehab.

Now that Brown is out of jail, will he get back to music?

All of that seemed forgotten at Brown’s 2-in-1 homecoming and birthday celebration – he turned 25 on May 5, but a party obviously wasn’t an option at that point. Chris Brown's assault trial will begin on Monday (21st April) a judge ruled on Friday (18th April). Brown has been accused of, alongside his bodyguard, assaulting a man in Washington D.C. last October.

Brown's probably was the result of his conviction for assaulting his assault then-girlfriend Rhianna in 2009. Oh, Chris Brown. Breezy has been diagnosed with a mental disorder, which means we should all go easy on him for any odd and out of touch behavior. This one isn’t about his behavior though. Those high-paid lawyers are a miracle in a tight spot, however, and Brown’s attorney apparently managed to make a deal.

And on and on it goes – Chris Brown is now out of rehab, but not free. It’s sort of an “out of the frying pan and into the fire” situation, as Brown has been thrown out of his rehab facility and sent to jail. On Friday, the singer was transferred due to a “failure to comply with the rules and regulations of the facility.”

Brown just can't seem to keep it together these days.

According to the folks at TMZ, the eviction was not related to Brown’s staples of substance abuse or violence. However, they haven’t fished out the exact reason for Brown’s latest round of trouble.His newest problem might be due to his bipolar disorder with which the troubled celebrity was recently diagnosed. According to a letter from the facility as reported by The Hollywood Reporter, “Mr. Brown became aggressive and acted out physically due to his untreated mental health disorder, severe sleep deprivation, inappropriate self-medicating and untreated PTSD.”

Chris Brown may once again be facing jail time after he was thrown out of his court-ordered Malibu rehabilitation centre.

Brown is still suffering the repercussions from his assault on his then girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. The 24-year-old has failed to complete to his five year probation sentence and has, on numerous occasions, neglected to serve his mandatory 1400 hours community service. He has also been involved in at least one violent assault when Brown allegedly attacked a man outside the White House.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department, speaking to CNN, confirmed Brown was in custody after he was asked to leave the rehab facility. As of Friday (14th March) Brown was being held without bail at Los Angeles County men's central jail.

Chris Brown is spending another weekend in a familiar place for him...jail.

The 25 year-old was arrested Friday (March 14th) for allegedly violating his parole that stems from a 2009 assault charge, where he beat up his then-girlfriend Rihanna.

Chris Brown has had some infamous bouts of aggression and unpleasant behavior over the past few years. According to the rehab facility he recently checked into, the singer has been suffering from bipolar disorder and PTSD, contributing to his outbursts.

The diagnosis would explain, but not excuse Brown's violent behavior.

E! News has obtained court documents, which confirm that the facility has diagnosed Brown with both psychological disorders. Apparently his violent behavior was caused by a combination of factors beyond his disorders – sleep deprivation and self-medication are also on the list.

On Monday (Feb 3rd), the judge turned down prosecutors' desire to throw the 24 year-old in jail due to his arrest for assault from last October (2013) in Washington D.C.

It take an especially angry kind of guy to get kicked out of a rehab centre whose sole purpose is dealing with anger management issues, but that's exactly what happened to Chris Brown earlier this month. Chris Brown was back in the news earlier this week, getting into trouble with the police for supposedly assaulting a man on the street near where his tour bus was parked. Brown inevitably avoided legal action when he faced a judge in Washington D.C. (where the attack took place), however he might not be so lucky when the latest run in with the law is taken into consideration by the Los Angeles Probation Office.

In what many have seen as an unofficial plea bargain with his probation officers, as soon as Brown arrived back in California following his magistrates court hearing on Monday (28 Oct.) in D.C., Brown immediately visited the patrol board, before he checked himself into a rehabilitation facility in Malibu to control his anger issues. We're not sure at this moment whether this was at the request of law enforcement or whether it was a move by Brown or one of his management team to possibly avoid future jail time.

Brown is still under probation for his assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna prior to the Grammys in 2009. Having offended since then and avoided jail time each time, his latest run in with the law may be the final straw. Believe it or not, but Chris Brown is in trouble with the police! Outrageous isn't it! Of course, this really shouldn't come as a shock to anyone given the singer's insistence of seeking out trouble and getting himself involved in it, usually by violent means. This time, Brown allegedly threw a punch at someone outside his hotel in Washington D.C. in what is being claim as an unprovoked attack.

As you may expect, Brown is denying the attack ever happened

As initially reported by TMZ, Brown got into a heated argument around 4.30 am on Sunday, 27 October, outside his hotel - the W Hotel on K Street - and ended up throwing punches at an unnamed man. According to the person who was on the receiving end of Brown's fists, the singer was posing for a photo with two women, when he and his friend, who were hanging out at the hotel, decided to photobomb the picture.

Chris Brown was arrested for felony assault in Washington D.C. on Sunday, 27 October, morning. The R&B singer, ever-popular with police, was cuffed outside the W Hotel on K Street, where he allegedly threw an unprovoked punch at random guy, hurling homophobia slurs at him whilst engaging in the potentially unwarranted attack.

The singer denies any wrong doing

According to TMZ, who first reported the attack and heard statements form both the victim, law enforcement and Brown's PR team, Brown got into an argument with the guy at around 4.30 am outside his hotel, with the victim never once provoking Brown with violence or even retaliating after the punch was thrown. According to the guy who was hit, Brown was posing for a photo with two women, and he and his friend decided to photobomb the picture, prompting Chris to react violently. He never did seem like the kind of guy who has a sense of humour.

Chris Brown rarely does himself any favours when he makes a public statement of any kind, but rather than whipping up a load of bad press for himself, this time he has just left us scratching our heads. The singer claims to have lost his virginity at the tender age of 8-years-old, stating in an interview with The Guardian that he and those he knew back in his hometown of Tappahannock, Virginia were much more open to sexual experimentation and at a much (much, much) younger age than anywhere else in America.

The singer rarely makes any comments that go without raising questions

"It's different in the country. By that point, we were already kind of like hot to trot, you know what I'm saying?" He stated in the interview. He continued, "Like, girls, we weren't afraid to talk to them; I wasn't afraid. So, at eight, being able to do it, it kind of preps you for the long run, so you can be a beast at it. You can be the best at it."

Rapper Drake has emerged as top of the shop for the third time after his latest album, Nothing Was The Same, rose to the number one place on Billboard's Hot 200 album chart.

In its first week of sales, the new album shifted 658,000 copies according to figures compiled by Nielsen SoundScan, via Billboard. Drake's new record, widely reviewed as engrossing yet safe material, joins the other three albums that have debuted in the top five.

Just as Chris Brown’s probation was running out, the term has been extended. The singer is required to serve an additional 1000 hours of community service, added to the original sentence he received in 2009 for assaulting his then girlfriend, Rihanna. The sentence was extended due to procecutors’ accusations that Brown failed to properly report his original 1440 hours of community labor.

Brown's court visits have attracted more attention than his music of late.

In July, Brown’s five-year probation was revoked, after he was called into court on a misdemeanor hit-and-run. While the charges were dropped, this caused the court to reexamine the singer’s probation. On Friday, judge James Brandlin reinstated the probation. Sentencing Brown to the additional 1000 hours or 125 days, which he will be required to serve by Aug. 25, 2014, the L.A. Times reports.

If Chris Brown thought he was out of the woods with regards to his legal problems, than he was very, very wrong. On Friday (August 16, 2013), his probation was reinstated and he was given a new sentence to perform 1,000 hours of community labor, reports Billboard.

Brown didn't speak during Friday's hearing, other than to agree to the deal worked out in the judge's chambers while he waited in the courtroom. He was ordered to perform tasks such as highway work and graffiti removal.

Brown has been dealing with a series of legal problems for years. In 2009, he was arrested for assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna and was first placed on probation. Since then, there's been various run-ins with the law including charges for assault and traffic accidents.
