What better way to protest your innocence after being charged with an offense as serious as hit and run that Twitter? There is no better way, not according to Chris Brown at least, and he’s been letting loose on the micro-blogging social media site to set the record straight. His record, anyway.

"It's not a hit and run if u get out the car, exchange information (who has NO DAMAGE to either cars). This is really ridiculous," the R&B star, who has had many brushes with the law, says. “I have a valid drivers license and I gave the woman the right info. She saw cameras and wanted to make a scene. She contacted the cops thinking of a payday from Chris Brown when I followed the proper procedures,” he added. "My lawyers will be contacting you. I will not stand for this bullying and yellow journalism!" Brown also took a snap of the car involved and set it as his avatar picture on the site. "My profile pic is the pic I took of the persons car after 'the hit and run'. NO damage. Just a dirty car.once again, I gotta clear my name," he wrote.

This could spell trouble for Brown, though. He faces up to six months in jail on each offense and, considering he’s still on probation after the infamous Rihanna incident, his sentence could rise up to something like four years! That probably won’t mean his absence from the headlines, though; he’ll still find a way to make the news.
