Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky are going to be parents for a second time, with the celebrity pair announcing Pataky's pregnancy earlier this week. After rumours began to emerge, the Thor star's rep confirmed the news to People Magazine earlier this week.

Congratulations Chris and Elsa!

The 30-year-old and his 37-year-old wife are already parents to 18 month-old India Rose and will see the arrival of her sibling in spring/summer 2014. The pair have been together since the beginning of the decade and started dating in early 2010, marrying that December. Pataky gave birth to their first child, India, on May 11, 2012.

“She’s the best!” Hemsworth told People of his daughter earlier this month. “It makes it harder and harder to leave and go to work. I enjoy being at home a lot more than I ever have.”

Like her husband, Elsa is also devoted to family time, and the Fast and Furious 6 actress also spoke to People about the joys of parenthood earlier this year. She told the magazine in May this year, “You have to make an effort and try to stay together as much as you can. If we start splitting and doing other things it’s not going to last. We try and keep it as normal as much as we can — like a typical family.”

Whilst the proud parents are looking forward to baby no. 2, they are still very much enjoying having India around for now and just this week, Chris posted an adorable picture of himself and his daughter on to his Instagram, along with the caption "my princess."
