Australian actor Chris Hemsworth and his actress wife Else Pataky are preparing for not one but two new members to their family.

HOLA! magazine reports, the 'Thor' star and the 'Fast Five' hottie are expecting twins.

Elsa, who is in her third trimester, is due to give birth in spring.

The couple are already parents to a one year-old daughter called India Rose, who will have turned two when her new siblings arrive.

News of the Spanish actress's pregnancy first surfaced in November of last year (2013), just after the release of the epic sequel 'Thor: The Dark World'.

Elsa spoke to Us Weekly in June 2013 about motherhood changing her as a person.

"You become more sensitive about a lot of things, with things like this, the ocean, you want to protect it for your kid to be able to see the world the way I saw it," she told the mag.

"That's important for them to not lose it. There are so many animals endangered now in the ocean; it'll be sad she won't enjoy all those things."

Adding, "She's almost walking, and she says, 'mama' and 'papa."

The Aussi hunk also gushed to People magazine about the joys of parenthood and how difficult it is to leave his daughter while filming. "She's the best!" he said. "It makes it harder and harder to leave and go to work. I enjoy being at home a lot more than I ever have."

Hemsworth also explained that, "being a father is certainly a task, but the best one that I could ever ask for. Being home, being with the family, that's what it's about."

The couple were last seen together at Sunday's (Jan 12th) Golden Globe Awards as they posed for snaps on the red carpet, Chris's movie 'Rush' was nominated for 'Best Picture-Drama'.

They have been married since December 2010.
