The Coldplay frontman has been praised by the 47-year-old as being a fantastic artist and the ''modern day Shakespeare''.

Chris Martin has just paid tribute to the late Chester Bennington with a sensational cover of Linkin Park's hit single 'Crawling' during a Coldplay performance in New Jersey earlier this week. It's a far cry from the original, but it's certainly a tear-jerker.

Coldplay invited local choir members on stage to end their Welsh show with the national anthem.

The British rockers concluded their gig at Cardiff's Principality Stadium last night (11.07.17) with a rendition of 'Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau', with frontman Chris Martin playing the piano for the special performance.

Chris invited two singers, James and Ellen, to join the group on stage, and he asked the crowd if they would like to singalong to ''a very great song, which we didn't write''.

Coldplay dedicated a song to a dead fan at their Dublin concert on Saturday (08.07.17).

Jamie Kelly, from Rathfarnham, Dublin, met Chris Martin in the Irish capital ahead of the band's gig over the weekend and explained that he and his friend Susan Valentine had bought tickets but she died suddenly just one month later.

Jamie asked Chris to dedicate 'Fix You' to her and was thrilled when the Coldplay frontman agreed.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has opened up about life after his split from wife Gwyneth Paltrow. The 38 year old appeared on Australia's 2DayFM on Monday and addressed the break-up for the first time, saying he feels ‘grateful to be alive.’

Chris Martin has spoken for the first time about his split from Gwyneth Paltrow.

"I went through some big changes... everyone knows about them,” Martin said. "[I was able to] figure out where I've gone wrong in my way of looking at the world. A few years ago I was in a low place in my life and was feeling kind of down and confused.”

Coldplay have revealed the release date of their seventh, and possibly final, studio album, and it’ll be out before the end of 2015.

The band’s lead singer Chris Martin appeared on Nick Grimshaw’s BBC Radio 1 breakfast show on Friday (November 6th) to announce that A Head Full of Dreams will be out on December 4th. Grimshaw also premiered the album’s first single, a summery track entitled ‘Adventure of a Lifetime’.

After popularising the rather ludicrous phrase “conscious uncoupling” as a euphemism for her divorce from her ex-husband, Gwyneth Paltrow has claimed in a new interview that it wasn’t actually her who coined the term.

The 42 year old actress explained to Fast Company that it was the editorial director of her lifestyle site Goop, Elise Loehnen, who came up with the phrase in a headline and didn’t warn her in advance of the article going live.

The six-minute sketch contained a lot of the current (surviving) cast of the show, like Peter Dinklage, Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Kit Harington, as well as actors like John Bradley (Samwell Tarly), Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy/Reek), Iwan Rheon (Ramsey Bolton) and Charlotte Hope (Myranda). There was also an appearance from some of the long-past actors like Mark Addy (King Robert Baratheon in Season One), Thomas Brodie-Sangster (Jojen Reed) and Rose Leslie (Ygritte), who received a serenade from Kit Harington. Diana Rigg (Olenna Tyrell) also made a brief appearance to discuss how the whole concert was a terrible idea.

Over a year after first announcing their ‘conscious uncoupling’ Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin have reportedly filed for divorce. According to TMZ, Martin and Paltrow filed the official documents on Monday, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split.

Gwyneth announced her separation from the Coldplay frontman last March.

The pairs’ business mangers are said to have been busy thrashing out a settlement agreement, which will divide the former couple's property and work out custody arrangement for children Moses and Apple.

Gwyneth Paltrow has accepted the challenge laid down by celebrity chef Mario Batali to live on a $29 food stamp budget for one week. The actress announced her participation in the #FoodBankNYCChallenge on Thursday, posting a picture to twitter of her week’s shop.

Gwyneth will attempt to live on just $29 a week.

"This is what $29 gets you at the grocery store—what families on SNAP (i.e. food stamps) have to live on for a week," the actress captioned a photo of her shop, which included black beans, eggs, lettuce, peas brown rice and celery.

After his days as the frontman of Coldplay are over, it seems Chris Martin wants to focus his attention on helping global issues. As the release of the British band's expected final studio album, 'A Head Full of Dreams,' approaches, the 37-year-old frontman recently announced he is now the curator of the Global Citizen Festival, for the next 15 years.

Music's biggest names should expect to get a call from Martin in the near future as he will be tasked with setting up festivals around the world for Global Citizen, which is a non-profit organisation that aims to solve extreme poverty by the year 2030. Martin's 15-year commitment also runs parallel with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a "to-do list" to end global poverty in the same year.

Nearly a year after the now infamous ‘conscious uncoupling’, actress Gwyneth Paltrow has opened up. Speaking in the February issue of Marie Claire magazine, Paltrow shed some light of her own on why she and her husband called it a day after more than a decade of marriage.

The 42 year old said: “There was nothing dramatic or anything. I had built my life on trying to be all things to all people, and I just couldn’t do it anymore. I really had the sense that I wasn’t allowed to have needs, and I had to prove my specialness or self-worth by doing all this stuff and taking care of everybody else, and I just sort of hit a wall.”
