They may have ‘consciously uncoupled’ over a year ago, but Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow are determined to show that it doesn’t mean they can’t still do family events together as they shared a picture of themselves and their wider family settling down together for Thanksgiving dinner.

It’s the first time that the ex-couple, who separated in March 2014 while grabbing headlines for that marvellous phrase used on Paltrow’s website Goop, have shared a picture of themselves together since their split.

Also in the big family picture, posted on Instagram on Thursday (November 26th) were their two children, 11 year old Apple and 9 year old Moses. In accordance with their parents’ wishes for privacy, their faces are rarely seen in paparazzi shots, so this was a rare treat for fans of celeb children.

“Happy Thanksgiving from us to you!” Paltrow captioned the pic, as she and Martin provided bookends for the 14 other people in the huddle.

The snap comes just a few days after Martin and Paltrow were also seen at the upscale restaurant The Lion in New York City for a pre-Thanksgiving dinner with their children, plus Gwyneth’s mother Blythe Danner and her brother Jake, according to E! News.

The exes have both moved on romantically in the 19 months since they went their separate ways, with the 38 year old Coldplay frontman briefly dating actress Jennifer Lawrence this time last year before meeting Annabelle Wallis.

43 year old Paltrow is reportedly dating ‘American Horror Story’ co-creator Brad Falchuk. When they split, she wrote on Goop that she and Martin, who had been married for 10 years, would “always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been.”
