'The Voice' contestant was just 22-years-old when she was brutally murdered by 27-year-old gunman Kevin James Loibl on June 10th 2016 as she signed autographs for her fans following a performance with pop band Before You Exit at The Plaza Live in Orlando. The tragedy was made all the more shocking by the fact that it came just two days before the Pulse nightclub massacre in the same city.

The family of the late singer Christina Grimmie has filed a lawsuit against concert promoters AEG Live for wrongful death and negligent infliction of emotional distress over the fatal shooting that claimed her life in Florida six months ago.

The 22 year old star, a former contestant on ‘The Voice’ and member of the group Before You Exit, was killed in Orlando on June 10th when a 27 year old gunman Kevin Loibl opened fire as she was signing autographs for fans during a meet-and-greet session outside the Plaza Live theater.

The family of former ‘The Voice’ contestant Christina Grimmie, who was tragically killed in June, have unveiled the first of four music videos that the singer had worked on prior to her death. ‘Snow White’ is the first chapter in the series which is titled the Ballad of Jessica Blue, with one video to be released every week throughout August.

Explaining the concept behind the videos, Grimmie’s manager Brian Teefey wrote on Facebook: “The "Ballad of Jessica Blue" is retro styled narrative and music video short film. The story follows a young girls journey into self-discovery through her love life, her womanhood and her music.“

Thousands of fans gathered in New Jersey on Friday (June 17) to say goodbye to ‘The Voice’ contest Christina Grimmie, who was fatally shot on June 10th while signing autographs after a show. At the service Grimmie’s parent spoke of their heartbreak in front of family, friends and fans of the 22-year-old Youtube star.

Speaking at the service Grimmie’s mother Tina paid tribute to her son Marcus, who had jumped in front of gunman Kevin James Loibl and wrestled him to the ground. "Marcus, I want to say this publicly and from everyone,” Tina said.

Justin Bieber produced a moving tribute to his late friend Christina Grimmie at the weekend, performing a heartfelt rendition of his song ‘Purpose’ and fighting back tears as he did so.

The Canadian star was playing at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg on Saturday night (June 11th), just a day after Grimmie, 22, was gunned down when she was signing autographs after a concert in Orlando by what police are describing as a “deranged fan”, later identified as 27 year old Kevin James Loibl. Her elder brother, Marcus Grimmie reacted to tackle the gunman, who then shot and killed himself.
