'Fright Night' actor Christopher Mintz-Plasse wants more diverse movie roles but thinks his lack of facial hair restricts the parts he is offered.
Christopher Mintz-Plasse "cant grow" facial hair.
The 22-year-old star - who is currently starring in the remake of 'Fright Night' with David Tennant and Colin Farrell - is keen to recreate the career of 'Star Trek' actor Anton Yelchin, but thinks he is currently stuck playing more youthful roles.
He said: "I'd love to try something different. But I can't really grow facial hair yet, it looks like dirt when it comes.
"I have very young looks, so it's easy for me to play high school, but I'm trying to stay away from high-school movies. As I get older I'll try and broaden my talents.
"I want do movies like Anton Yelchin. He's doing amazing indies and he gets to do dramatic roles, and I want to do that in the future. I've got to prove myself, and hopefully I'm doing that"
Despite being best known for his role as geeky McLovin in 'Superbad', Christopher claims he is not annoyed to be associated with one part because it opened doors for him.
He added: "I get to have a career because of that role, so I'm forever grateful."
