The Inception moviemaker and visual artist Tacita Dean will help launch LFF Connects, as part of the British Film Institute's (BFI) annual event, and will give talks about the future of movies and how the industry can collaborate with other media such as television, art and music.

Festival director Clare Stewart says, "We could not hope to have a more dynamic, impactful launch than to bring together Christopher Nolan and Tacita Dean, two of the greatest creators working in film and art to discuss the future of film as a medium."

The talk series will take place on 9 October (15). The festival runs from 7 to 18 October (15).
