Veteran actor Christopher Walken will face one of the toughest challenges of his career when he performs in a children's play live on U.S. Tv later this month (Dec14).

The Deer Hunter star is due to play Captain Hook in Peter Pan Live! on NBC on 4 December (14), and he admits the short preparation time for the show has left him terrified.

He tells Britain's Daily Express, "We rehearsed this very much like you would for a musical, except in a musical, you do your first preview for a couple of weeks - then you open. And if you do Ok then you run for months. You do it a lot, get to develop it and things change. This is not like that. It's more like a football game. Frankly it is intimidating!"
