London quartet Clean Bandit have topped the British singles chart for a third consecutive week with their smash-hit record 'Rather Be'. The track featuring singer-songwriter Jess Glynne has now sold more than 400,000 copies since entering the chart last month. Read our review of the single.

Pharrell Williams radio-friendly chart-topper Happy climbed one place to number while, whole DJ Fresh and Jay Fay's Dibby Dibby Sound featuring Ms Dynamite was a new entry at number three.

Over on the album chart, indie-rockers Bombay Bicycle Club secured their first number one with So Long, See You Tomorrow which outsold True by Avicii by over 6,000 copies, according to the Official Charts Company. Ellie Goulding's album Halcyon dropped one place to number three.

Last week, it was announced that Clean Bandit had set a new Spotify record in the UK after achieving 1.09 million plays in just seven days. The previous record was held by Daft Punk's single Get Lucky, which is the only other track to have ever surpassed million streams in a week.

Clean Bandit's debut album, New Eyes, is scheduled for release on May 12, 2014. The group's music is often described as a fusion mix of electronic music with classical elements. They are known for inviting guest artists to sing their tracks.
