Former Cocteau Twins singer Elizabeth Fraser is returning to the spotlight with a trio of upcoming summer (12) gigs in England.
The Pearly Dewdrops Drops singer will perform her first full set since 1998 at Bath Pavillion on 4 August (12), two weeks before she returns to the London stage for two sold-out nights at the Royal Festival Hall as part of this year's Meltdown festival.
Fraser has performed infrequently since the Cocteau Twins split in the late 1990s, recording vocals for tracks by artists like Massive Attack and appearing on the soundtrack for The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
She has been working on a new album and tells Cocteau Twins fans not to expect her to sound the way she did when she fronted the group: "(That was) like an endurance test... I've been using my voice more gently."
