Coldplay's track Viva La Vida will be played across the U.K. next month (Sep12) to mark the end of the London 2012 Olympics.
The rockers have given permission for the tune to be played at hundreds of community concerts throughout the country at 2pm on 9 September (12) in celebration of the London Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Frontman Chris Martin says, "It's a great honour for us to be part of the celebrations for the Paralympic Games and it should be a great moment when the bandstands of Great Britain strike up in unison."
The rockers are set to take to the stage at the closing ceremony of the Paralympic Games later that evening and will also reportedly perform with pop star Rihanna.
