Gray, born Doris Jensen, passed away on Monday (03Aug15) at her home in Bel Air, California and her death has been attributed to natural causes, her friend David Schecter confirms to The Hollywood Reporter.

She is best known for her role in director Stanley Kubrick's 1956 film noir The Killing, for starring opposite John Wayne in the 1948 Western film Red River, and 1950 musical comedy Riding High, opposite Bing Crosby.

Gray also scored movie roles in Nightmare Alley, Kansas City Confidential, Kiss of Death, and The Leech Woman and appeared in TV shows including Rawhide, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, MCCloud, Days of Our Lives and Perry Mason.
