Scandal star Columbus Short broke into his marital home despite a restraining order barring him from the property, according to legal documents filed by his estranged wife.

The actor was ordered to move out of the California property he shared with Tanee MCCall-Short earlier this month (Apr14) after she accused him of threatening her life during an argument. He appealed against the ruling, but was denied access last week (ends27Apr14).

His wife has filed new legal documents, obtained by Tmz.com, claiming Short broke into their house over the weekend (26-27Apr14) and she now fears for her safety and the safety of their two-year-old daughter, Ayala.

MCCall-Short filed for divorce from the actor in September, 2013 after eight years of marriage.

It's the latest personal drama for Short - he is facing trial for a charge of felony aggravated battery last month (Mar14) following a bar brawl. He announced he had left the hit political Tv show last week (ends27Apr14) amid his legal woes.
